Altnux Hiyadeal LCR, RCL Inductance, Capacitance, Resistance Meter

Okay, keep in mind that commercial LCR meters can be REALLY expensive. I've repaired them. A low end commercial meter may set you back $500, and a really good used one as much as $1000.That said, for what this is, it's a nice little meter for any experimenter to have on their bench. I only verified one scale on resistance, but my known good Corning 422 ohm glass encapsulated metal film resistors read 424 ohms, which is better than 0.5% accuracy. The other ranges and functions seem to read okay, I just can't verify they are as accurate because my standard components are still buried in some box from moving. (That is what measurement is about; if you can't verify from a known standard, don't.)Bottom line for me is I am very happy with the purchase. Simply can't be beat for the price. I got more than I expected. If I blow it up, I'll buy another. In the meantime it adds functionality to my bench.Doc

This item was priced very low and grabbed my attention. The resistance and capacitance work good. The inductor feature seems to be a little inaccurate. This may be due to the sampling rate of 100Hz. I also do not know if the test is being preformed under parallel or series. I will benchmark the results against a few other devices. Also, the resolution is primarily in the mH range of about +/- .1. Therefore, one may want to consider this if they need a device to work well into the uH range. The seller did a great job delivering it overseas (7 days) and the device seems well built and has a bright back lit LCD screen. it comes with the test leads, battery and protective shield and a very basic instruction sheet. The Item also test the Hfe of BJTs (transistors). I have not actually used this function yet.

how the heck 'they' are able to both ship cheap an inexpensive masterpiece is beyond my wildest imagination.

This is a good meter. Recommend you double check your range needs to the meters available ranges. L lowest range is 20 mH. I should have gotten one that read in the uH.

This little guy is nice. I bought it because of the price and other reviews. Plus, I liked the fact that the resistance and capacitance values are higher than multimeters. It measured everything I wanted with good accuracy. The only thing wrong with it is that it came with meter leads that are straight. It would have been better with alligator clips.

Quick test device for component parts. Very useful with coils that you wind yourself. (such as for radio antenna Baluns, etc.) Much less effort than building a bridge and setting up a frequency generator.
