Awesome eco-friendly straws
This is a fantastic product if you are looking to reduce your plastic consumption but prefer or need to use a straw. Straws have been demonised in the press recently but it's not the straw itself that is the problem but the wastage caused by single-use plastic. These bamboo straws are the perfect alternative; they are very smooth and feel nice to use, and in the box they rattle like pencils. They are strong and stiff like pencils too. I've used my first one for about a week and it's still going strong, so I expect it will last a lot longer, but if it does break (or get too dirty) I'll just toss it in the compost guilt-free. I expect this box of a dozen will last at least a year if not longer, so in the long run will probably work out cheaper than buying single use paper straws (which usually come in plastic packaging).

Brilliant Straws
Took these straws on a tour of Asia for 3 months and they worked a treat - they wash easily, dry quickly and do not hold on to odours from previous drinks at all. They work for all drinks including milkshakes - highly recommended.
