So much better! I love the sleek stainless steel look of it. It’s cosmetic but functional as well. It toasts evenly. No issues with burning edges. And I love that there are so many settings and a button to eject the bread whenever you want without having to push the lever up, which is what I had to do with my last one. Definitely a great buy and not bad for the price either

I bought this as a replacement for my higher end toaster with multiple heating options. This one has just regular toasting temp adjustments, reheat and defrost. However, it is all I really need. It is very sturdy toaster - and looks sleek.I have not found any flimsiness - as other reviewer mentioned, have been using it for over a week and don's see any cons. The price was lower than exactly the same toaster of a brand name!

Unfortunately I don't absolutely love my toaster. It does a good job toasting hence the 4 star rating. There are three things I would change about the toaster. The dial is all black with a black grove that is hard to see so you have to be careful with the setting. I painted the groove white paint with a toothpick for application. The selection numbers are too small coupled with the all black dial makes selection a little more difficult. If the numbers were at least twice the font size it would be considerably easier. And the last item is the lever handle for engaging the toaster. It is a small cheap looking piece of plastic. I hope it is more durable than it looks and feels.

It comes across as "tinny" out of the box. It's light weight & just a little cheap feeling. But it does what it is supposed to, toasts bread. Used a couple of times & it toasts evenly & very nice.All the above still applies.Used it daily & my only negative is it doesn't stay down when lever is pressed on first or second try. Just have to be more forceful I guess.11/25/18 Lever will not stay down. I will order a new, different mfg., toaster & send this junker back. Just found out the return window closed Sept. 25th so it goes into the garbage I guess. Buyer beware.

It is shiny and has extra features that may be useful. My problem is the tab to pull down the bread into the toaster does not want to stay down. I have to push and push to get to stay down. Not sure how this can be fixed. The knob for selecting how toasted you want the bread is hard to read. It a black matte surface and to see the line on it is difficult.

We finally found a toaster that toasts bread evenly and consistently. A card came with the toaster that shows what toast looks like at each setting - and it's accurate! Both sides of the bread are toasted evenly. All toast at a particular setting comes out the same. No, this is not a well-known brand, but it is reasonably priced and does what a toaster should do. Our only complaint, and it is a small one, is that it is hard to see the notch on the dial. We put a sticker on the notch so we can see it easily. We would definitely recommend this toaster to our friends.

I just received this toaster but have already used it a couple of times. So far, it seems to toast bread really well and very evenly and it has quite a few different settings - enough to please anyone. While the outside of the toaster does get warm and I would keep children away from it while it's toasting, it's not so hot that an adult cannot handle it. It is a simple, easy to use toaster. The instructions tell you to plug it in and use the toaster without anything in it a few times to burn off any oils left over from the manufacturing process. I did this several times and there was an odor that quickly burned off. I would recommend this toaster. The customer service department's "Chief Happiness Officer" checked in with me a couple of times to make sure I'd received the toaster and was enjoying it. I thought that was great and very funny!Review update: I have been using this toaster for almost two years now and I still like it. The only problem I have found is with the browning selection knob. The knob is black and so is the indicator indentation so it is very difficult to see which number setting it is pointed to. I painted it white. Also, the knob moves very easily so every time I get the toaster out to use it, I have to readjust the knob to the setting I like. I wish it didn't move quite so freely. If I forget to check it, I end up with burnt toast or toast that is not done.UPDATE June 27, 2021. I've had this toaster for less than three years and about a third of the heating elements no longer work which means that several areas of the bread don't get toasted. Maybe my expectations were too high but the toaster I had before this one last 30 years. I will have to replace this toaster after less than three years. Very disappointing.

I've been looking for a new toaster for a while now, but every one I looked at seemed like it was made out of tinfoil, and many reviews said they got too hot on the outside and/or only toasted one side of the bread. I finally took a chance on this one, and I'm so glad I did. While still lightweight, it seems well made, and it toasts evenly. It looks nice on my counter too!
