Aluminum border feels like a chalkboard
Owned for 3 weeks.OVERVIEW:It's the only backlit 60% keyboard with Cherry MX switches I could find. Everything is great except for the texture of the metal border, which feels like chalkboard, and the LEDs shine out from under the keys.PROS:The adjustable lights are nice. The blues are really bright, and so are the reds. You can adjust each level separately, so you can do all blue, all red, or a shade of violet. The are also some wave and "rain" effects if you want to show it off to friends, but they are pretty annoying if you're trying to get work done. You can adjust a lot of other settings too. For example, since I use the ESCAPE key more than the tilde key, I changed the tilde key so it functions as ESCAPE when pressed normally, and as tilde when I hold the FN key down. I also changed the left super key to be a FN key, so I now have two FN keys and one super key on the right. They give you extra keys and a remover, so you can swap in keys with accurate labeling. The spacebar can be reversed so your thumb doesn't strike the edge. There was a red switch in the middle and two other switches on the left and right I didn't recognize.CONS:The brushed aluminum border feels like a chalkboard and is just as uncomfortable when I brush my fingers or fingernails against it. This ruins the whole keyboard for me, regardless of how nice everything else is. Because of this I gave a low rating. If they removed the border, or made it plastic, I would give it a higher rating. There is a problem with front-LED Cherry switches that has nothing to do with the Ducky brand:Because there are labels on the front of the keys (not just the top), the LEDs are located in front of the switch. Normally in Cherry MX switches the LEDs are behind the switch. Having the LEDs in front results in a lot of light shining out from underneath the keys. This adds a lot of distraction the already-busy labels. If you look at the keyboard from a low angle, the LEDs will actually shine directly in your eyes. Hopefully Cherry will figure out a way to put the LEDs up inside the keys and not just under them. Again, this is not Ducky's fault but it is an unfortunate side-effect of the front-lit Cherry switches.

Amazing little keyboard.
Excellent build quality and the lighting effects are fun and unique. I bought this keyboard because it both looked unique compared to competitors such as the Poker 3, and because it works on both PC and Mac (all keyboard configuration occurs on the keyboard itself, no need to install software or drivers). The ability to reconfigure a few of the keys has been very useful, I rebound the capslock key to a function key to make using the fn + arrow keys easier. No other 60% keyboard makes this so simple and for me it's the only way I could truly get away from a tenkeyless or full size model as I use the arrow keys pretty frequently.
