Know what you are buying...first
I read plenty of reviews before purchasing this product. This is very important when buying this case to know whether it is something you "want" to handle. First off, I knew what to expect and I like the case. Now for the review.Review 4 stars: THICC <-- this phone case is thick. There is no denying that it will add some serious dimensions to your skinny iPhone X. In fact, it gets so many looks, people have no idea what phone you have. Only when I decided to choose a slim case (family function) did someone remark that I have the iPhone X. I actually like that about this case so I rounded up from 3.5 stars to 4.Weight 3.5 stars: The X is already a weighty phone compared to others, so this case does not add a whole lot more weight to it. Just be prepared that it does add some weight, so be prepared when pulling it out of a pocket. Plus the cases thickness makes it appear it is a lot heavier. So, due to the appearance that it looks heavy, I rated it 3.5 stars (it is actually much lighter than the actual phone).Grip 3 stars: The grip of the case definitely could be better. It is a big case, so the manufacturer should have added some rubber to the sides for grip ability. The case takes a little time to get used to, so be aware.Purpose 5 stars: The only reason I purchased this case was for the battery charging ability. It is fantastic and unique. First, there is NO little dongle that takes up your lightning port for charging. The charge is done by QI built into the case. This is amazing because it frees up your lightning port in two ways. First it allows you to use lightning port headphones (if not using bluetooth), and secondly, it allows you to charge the iPhone using your lightning cable at home. This is great because the case itself uses USB-C. So, you actually have three ways to charge your phone and it is convenient. (1) Case will charge your phone approximately 1-1.5 times (2) USB-C cord (comes with the case) will change your case and phone at the same time and finally (3) the original lightning port can be used independently to charge your phone so no matter where you are - home, car, friends house - there is no problem with someone not having a charger in case you need an electrical charge.Summary: No battery cases are flawless - as they also need to be charged - but for your phone this is such an ideal case and very handy for my own personal purposes and maybe yours.Recommendations: Make this type of case slimmer and keep the QI charger style built in. My wife can't hold the case, and am not surprised she does not like it, at all. I have medium sized hands and the case is a bit thicc. Buyer beware on this but I am very happy I bought it. I have already had the case for over 6 months and have had no issues.

Fantastic concept, shoddy execution and bad experience.
I love the appearance and the feel/weight of this case. I also enjoy that the data port of the phone remains unobstructed.Unfortunately, that’s where the good ends. From full charge, it will only get about 80% into my iPhone X, but even that wouldn’t make it totally useless. To be totally useless, it would have to do something like refuse to charge after it itself had been unplugged for an hour or so. Sadly it does exactly that, it has some issue with the software (I know this because plugging it in even briefly corrects the problem, but having to plug it in to start charging sort of defeats the purpose of a charge case, no?)Besides this, in general it feels like the entire product could’ve been done much better with just a few more components. Charge state is shown on one LED, so it can be low, mostly full, and that’s all the information you get (yellow and green). The entire red color is reserved for when the thing is actually dead beyond repair. Then, all your functionality is on a single button, which you press to check the state of charge, or press and hold to engage charging. Mind you, you have to press and hold until the led turns on. You know, the led UNDER YOUR FINGER.The company did issue me a refund, so points there I suppose. I’m just so upset with this because I love the look and the idea of using Qi to avoid occupying the lightning port, but this implementation just plain sucks all the way through. It doesn’t work, it’s annoying to use, and just has the distinct feel of a product designed by people who would never use it.So disappointed. What a waste of lithium.

Great tech; exciting to see wireless charging become mainstream.
Elephant in the room: this case is chunky, probably too chunky for daily pocket use (less of a problem for purses).HOWEVER for airplane or car rides, this case is perfect.I have other battery chargers, but all connect with a cord, so I have this extra heavy thing dangling that I have to keep track of.None of that here, the case is all I have to hang onto - much more ergonomic.Plus, the case looks ridiculously durable, and the included screen protectors are a nice touch.PS: for people that are having trouble removing the phone once it's in the case, just push on the camera lens from the back, and the phone will pop right out.

The best iPhone X battery case.
Wish they made this for IPhone XS Max. I didn’t even get to use this bad boy for a year before I upgrade to my current phone.Pros: Battery life pretty much good for all day Pokémon hunting. (Hunting drains a lot)Durable case keeps the phone safe even on drops. It has the rubbery edges and the front is raised.Case charges the phone wirelessly, case is charged wirelessly, and phone gets charged after the case is charged automatically. I just leave the case on my phone and throw it on my charging pad. Always wake up to a charged phone and case!Cons: because of the thickness around the camera and led, pictures taken with flash has a slight hazing effect. No bueno! I didn’t realize it until my niece asked why her pictures looked better than mine even though I had a better camera.Heavy, not really a con because bigger batteries will always weigh more so...

Great case for people who are tired of carrying an adapter or an extra power bank
First things first. This is not a slim battery case. I personally think there isn’t any at all. No matter what kind of battery case you have, It will obviously add weight and thickness to your phone regardless. With that out of the way, This case is great! It’s a little heavy, but it feels good heavy. It gives you the sense of your device being important that you want give it a firm grip due to the weight and bulkiness this case adds to your phone. It gives so much extra power on the go without worrying to carry an adapter or an extra power bank. THIS IS YOUR POWERBANK! It’s a little slow on charge due to wireless charging but that’s ok. The only concern I have is the front protection. There is hardly any front bezel raised. Overall this case is fantastic!
