I need to work hands-free with my iPhone, and the iPhone built-in speaker wears my ears out with prolonged exposure. This device is perfect for my needs. Unlike what the lead review says, it absolutely DOES handle your headset microphone (if you need it to) as well as earphones. It takes a standard 3.5mm plug. If you need the mic capability, your plug should have a metal tip plus three more rings (mic, left, right, and ground). If you don't need the mic capability, your plug will have one fewer rings. The device has plenty of volume with the headphones I'm using, and I'm sure it will for any setup. I run my iPhone at about 75 percent volume, and your hearing is probably waaaay better than mine.I'm a hard-core audiophile. I can't tolerate bad sound when listening to music. I'm happily listening to Jazz at the Pawnshop while I'm writing this. Its sound through my Sennheiser Game One headset is far better than it has any right to.All pros and no cons: I HIGHLY recommend this product!

this is a very well built adapter. It works perfectly in my iPhone 8plus. It is better quality than the one that comes with the phone. it works fine and sounds perfrct

I ordered a different brand that did not allow me to use the volume control on my Bose SoundSport. I communicated with the company of the adapter. They said that no adapter would perform any better. I messaged the IDARS company and they assured me that their statement that it would allow controls to work was true. I appreciate their customer support and they were also correct. It works like a charm and their adapter was also a better price.

Finally upgraded from an Apple iPhone SE to an Apple iPhone 12 mini and needed a lighting to 3.5mm adapter to continue using a wired pair of sweat-proof earbuds while cycling. The wire insures that if they fall out I don't lose the earbuds out on the road.

At first I thought they were broke or made different when trying to plug my headphones in. They weren't it's a good snug fit and the headphones won't fall out.

Came on time and in great condition. I have a iPhone 7, but sometimes I like to use wired earphones. This lets me plug my wired ear plugs I used in my iPhone SE and use them in my current iPhone 7. Great!

Junk. Failed at its sole purpose. Headphone mini plug would not stay in. Buy apple and know that it will work. Threw this one away.

That's what you get for buying after-market. Would not even "snap" on like original white one from Apple. So would come off with barely any effort. I wanted black to match my headphones. Forget it.
