Smooth Sound for My Turntable
My old amplifier didnât have a phono input, so I needed something to bridge the gap between my turntable and speakers. This little device works perfectly for that.Setting it up was easyâjust connect the turntable to the RCA input, plug the output into the amp, and youâre ready to go. I like that it comes with a power adapter, so thereâs no hunting around for extras. The very day I got it, I played a favorite jazz album that used to sound flat without proper amplification. With this preamp, the sound is much fuller and the details are clearer. Thereâs very little background noise, which is a bonus when listening to quieter tracks. The compact size is also a plus, as it fits neatly into my setup without taking up much space. The power switch is handy too, letting me turn it off when itâs not in use.If youâre looking for an affordable way to enhance your record playerâs sound, this preamp is worth considering. Itâs reliable, easy to use, and has made my vinyl collection sound much better.

Not bad, but I have heard better
To be honest, I have a retro Thorns turntable from the 80's, albeit a good one where I also fitted a more modern MM cartridge.Playing a new vinyl connected through this mini and very inexpensive pre-amp was OK, but not as good as my admittedly high end amplifier which had a built in MM phono function. It sounds a bit better than the price suggests though, so willing to recommend.

Good got Technics
I have some old Technics which have been collecting dust for a while so grabbing this preamp and linking it into my Sonos was a treat this Xmas.Given its branding and price, I wasn't holding out for studio-quality stuff, but I was pleasantly surprised with how well it worked and the sound quality. There aren't any bells and whistles with thisâjust the basics, and it does exactly as needed. For the price, this is a great bit of kit to have so you can crack out the old vinyl collection.

Great pre-amp to bring my vinyl to life with new amplifier
So i have recently got a new amplifier but this did not have a pre-amp built in.This device connected between the turntable and the amplifier meant I was able to listen to my records again. The metal casing gives a feeling of durability.I like the fact that there is a separate on/off rocker switch - not always present at this price point.More than happy to recommend.

Amplifier
I've always had a love for vinyls, I kind of gave them up for the convenience of listening to nice and loud music. But I can't live without vinyls, I think it is something nice to enjoy to play one. I've found the sound is definitely better with this.I liked the housing for this item, it feels good quality, as well as the weight of it, and has rubber feet - I would hate it if it didn't. I can't comment on how it has performed when compared to others, as this is my first.

Solid Metal Body!
I really like the build quality of this and it has a nice weight to it with grippy rubber feet to keep it from moving about. When grounded out I get zero feedback hum and the sound quality is pretty much as good as I will ever need and highly doubt I would notice the difference between this and a higher end pre-amp. The only downside I can see on this is the price. At ÂŁ23.99 (cost at time of review) it is a bit pricey when compared to other well know name-brand options. That being said there is MANY other cheaper looking pre-amps that sell for even more, so perhaps it isn't too over-priced.

Left disappointed
So I donât really want to give a 3 star or a 2 star. Cause it has some features which are good and others which are not so good and may leave you with a bitter taste in your mouth that you bought it.So the good.Itâs solid, the power switch is a nice feature. The ground cable is ok. It does a good job (not great) of removing unwanted sound. The bad and for me only one but itâs the one that matters. You lose easily 50% of your volume plugging in to this device. Iâve gone from 10% volume for my listing on my amp to over 70% volume on the amp. There is a huge loss in sound using this pre amp. I tried changing lots of cables and ports on my amp to see if it could be improved. And Iâm sorry to say it could notI donât see how any of these other reviews saying how great it is could be correct if you lose such a huge level of sound via the device. In my eyes itâs worth the ÂŁ20 quid cost to get you up and running. But if you have it in your budget buy better and trust the good old saying of buy cheap buy twice. Because in this case itâs so very very true.

Basic RCA Eq amp
This is a great little equalisation amplifier that means I can connect my turntable to my surround sound system. The sound quality is OK, not as good as the turntable connected to the pre-amp and amplifier on the HiFi system.
