Hopesun professional Live Animal Cage Trap, made of hot galvanized wire mesh with black color powder coated. The animal trap is ideal for trapping small animals, such as cats, rabbits, ferrets, raccoons, foxes, cavies, raccoons, stray cats, groundhogs (woodchucks), opossums, armadillos, rabbit and similar-size unwanted animals. Small mesh openings prevent trapped animals from escaping or being stolen. The foldable handle is convenient for transportation, while smoothed internal edges protect and prevent injuries to animals. Works great
Works great and is very easy to assemble. We have an overpopulation of rabbits and rats which eat all the plants in our vegetable farm, I have tried several different live catch traps and have been able to catch 2 or 3 rats and rabbits a week and safely relocated them far away. I have been using the HopeSun collapsible live animal trap for 3 days and caught 3 rabbits and 2 rats so far because the design of this trap is great. I put lettuce and peanut butter on the trigger plate of the trap, which stays in place with the hole in the plate. The rats like the peanut butter and the rabbits like the lettuce. The trigger mechanism is very well designed so it is easy to set and it is very sensitive so even a mouse can trigger it, The trigger mechanisms on some of the other live catch traps I have stick or get activated by the wind. I plan on buying several more HopeSun Live animal traps and recommend them to my neighbors.

Rock solid, Easy to set, Great size, 7 squirrels in 2 days! Yaaaa Baby!
I love all living things (but I also love our garden) so when my "Squirrel Relocation Project" was in need of a truly "better mouse trap" I tried this and it is a WINNER! I am old, so the name Have-a-Heart has been the standard for go-to no-harm traps for decades. No more. This trap is much more solid, far easier and more predictable to set and the black color is better too. I have had to deal with rodents and pests for a very long while in a variety of ways so I am pretty good at this stuff. A trap that is open on BOTH ends is FAR more effective so don't even think about a single door trap just because it costs less. Even a rat knows better than to approach something that might box them in. They feel safer walking into a trap that they can see through hence the need for a back door just in case the first one shuts behind them. Sorry dude, but they BOTH just shut and you are trapped! The gauge of steel used in these traps is very solid and is too strong for them to chew through, which is a great advantage over many of the competitors traps. Yes, a squirrel will chew through a lessor gauge wire trap easier than you might think. It has not and will not happen with this trap. This is a great trap at a modest price and is very easy to setup. It actually ships in a flat box and then takes just a minute to setup. There is a nice little video on Youtube of a guy showing how to do this but you should be able to figure it out on your own very easily. Just bait it with peanut butter and drop a few peanuts around the perimeter here and there and your good to go. This is how I do it and everyone should do as I do because I am always right and I never lie :)

... was a boy and I think this trap is great! I like the design more than the Havahart ...
I've had Havahart traps since I was a boy and I think this trap is great! I like the design more than the Havahart traps. There are no sharp edges on the inside that in some cases on the Havaharts causes pretty bad lacerations to animals trying to escape. What I like most is that I can position this trap flush up to an entrance opening inside my greenhouse where woodchucks were getting in and destroying my container vegetable garden. In 2 days I caught 2 woodchucks and a short time later the last one I think is in the area. I've also caught several rabbits and chipmunks. Anything that's tried to get in has gotten caught. The only thing I like better on the Havahart design is the wire frame on each end that can serve as two handed handles. The single handle in the middle of this trap make it difficult to carry with a heavy animal inside moving from end to end of the trap. This is easily remedied by tying a rope loop at each end.I haven't had any more damage to my garden since I got this trap.

Decent trap if not bent in transport/stay aware of sizing
The metal was bent up when we received it and I had to use pliers to bend it into shape enough to put it together. If it hadn't been bent up, it would have been fairly easy, but I'm still not confident enough to try collapsing it and putting it back together now that I have it in working order.I got this to help TNR feral cats in my neighborhood. We are trying to catch a fairly young female who recently had kittens. She probably weighs no more than 7 lbs. Caught the kittens by hand since they were in such rough shape, but mama will take some extra work and we need to use an actual trap to get her. We have been feeding her near the trap for a few days, and she had no fear of it this morning, so we set it and put her food on the trigger. She did trigger the trap, but she could easily reach the food with a paw while half her body was sticking out, so the door closed on her middle and she bolted. Fortunately, she still came back for her nightly feed, so she wasn't completely traumatized/hurt, but I don't think I'll be getting her in this cage ever again :/I got the small based on the product description mentioning stray cats and other reviews that mentioned cats with that size, but I can't see this size working on our mama cat or most other timid adult cats, based on how our attempt to catch her went. Our little feral female wouldn't even be able to stand upright and would have to crawl all the way in to get to the food, and most cats I know will dip their paw in anything to test it before going all the way into a tunnel to stick their nose in it. The trigger for the doors is only about half a cat-length away from the door so a cat would really have to work/be very small to fit all the way in before they triggered it.If I had the bigger size, I'd say this was a great trap even if I still had to use pliers to fix bent pieces again. If I was trying to catch kittens or smaller critters I'm sure the small size would work amazingly... unfortunately in our situation, the one we bought is useless for our purposes and we'll be going to the local farm supply store to find a bigger one. We'll still try setting this one up in the meantime and will try putting food on the opposite side with the back door already lowered and maybe that will help, but I would feel terrible for mama cat to be trapped crouching for the hours it will take to get her to the vet and the two days they will require her to be left in it for recovery after her spay :(
