Parrot Training and Behavior 101 Paperback – January 10, 2014

The author consistently uses the pop culture definition of negative reinforcement as opposed to the actual meaning. He disses the brand Roudybush for containing peanuts...the ingredients do not contain nuts or seeds of any kind. Much of his advice is very similar to the popular trainers on YouTube, whom he also disses.

This book does contain lot's of good information. It can feel overwhelming to a beginner. There is excellent information on diet. I wish there was more step by step information or more information on body language.

This book is a review of the author's ability and success with training birds . I expected more of a training manual. The focus is on training your bird to free fly, which I wouldn't consider a "101" or beginning training program.

Loads of great information on training from beginning to advanced! I found lots of valuable nutritional information that I have not found anywhere else. Overall excellent read for any bird owner. Definitely recommend!

Finally, a parrot training book with an innovative approach-easy to read and understand yet based on proven scientific facts that really make sense. Most important-it works! These techniques have turned my biting amazon into a fun, happy and gentle family pet in a few short weeks! I have read all the other training books I could get my hands on with little success but can highly recommend this book!

I’ve make a mistake thinking this book would help me training my parrot.This book doesn’t explain techniques or how to apply them to your parrots, it just acknowledges that they exists and should be used!
