Love this...compact and easy to clean. BUT...if you're a beginner cook like me, be very careful...cuz while in use, don't think just because you are holding it that it won't move. Make sure to have the tool either sitting on a flat surface and pick up the zest to your plate or rest it against the pot...just something stable enough so the tool won't move...instead of zesting a lemon...I accidentally zested the lemon AND my own finger...yeah, that took awhile to recover. May have to look into a mandoline slicer...think that's more of my level of safety.

I paid $5 for this. Great price. Other graters for this price aren't sharp enough to zest. This one is very sharp. I wouldn't touch it with my fingers. It's a fine grater so something like cheese would clog it up pretty quickly, but it's long to compensate. It's actually too long for me, but I can't find a shorter one from the same seller. It comes with a brush for cleaning, but I just hand wash it with a sponge and it gets nice and clean. The plastic cover it also nice; it's slightly elevated from the grater so you don't accidentally grate the cover.

Excellent quality microplane for the price. Just as durable as the pricier models and grates nicely. I have so far used it as a grater for fresh ginger and Parmesan cheese as well as a zester for limes. I would buy again with no reservations.

Everyone who uses lots of lemon, lime or orange zest needs one of these! I was using the fine side of my regular grater and got little result. I ordered this and it is perfect, but use caution as it is sharp. It comes with a nice plastic guard to protect grating surface when not in use.

It's a bit hard to avoid zesting the white part of the lemon, but gets easier with practice.

I like everything about this zester. It comes with a small brush to get all the zest from the back of the implement! Great price for a gadget that is a kitchen staple.

Handy zester although it is rather long. Watch your knuckles cause it's sharp.
