Great for all my DTLLS assignments.
I bought this book towards the end of my first DTLLS year and wish I'd bought it sooner. Everything that we covered in our lessons is in the book plus loads more. I referenced it in my assignments regularly. The only downside is that it doesn't cover the optional units. Also,I have now been told that I need to extend my reading for year 2.I would definitely recommend the book to others but don't forget that it should not be your only reference point. I will probably buy somebody else's book ( maybe Geoff Petty) to give me some variety in year 2.

Used book, but great condition
Was so glad to be able to purchase this at a reduced price. I bought the wrong one for my DTLLS course (bought the CTLLS book) and didn't want to spend another £25. This was a used library book but kept in great condition so it was as good as buying new. I would buy a Linda Wilson book over the much published Ann Gravells (seems like Ann writes another book exactly the same as the previous one, every 6-months). The content is relevant and very useful. This can also be used for the new Diploma in Education and Training, but I fear you won't find it again.

Functional
I purchased the book to assist me with my L4 PTLLS Qual with a view to using it again for DTLLS if the need arised. It did its job; very good for quotations and an easy read that is put over in a simple way. Worth the spend.

Must Have
Most topics taught for PTTLS and DTTLS are covered in this book. It was recommended by a friend and even though I have not started using it for my assignments yet, i have compared some topics in it with other Teaching books i have read and found that it is very comprehensive. I believe it is an excellent book

practical teaching
I purchased this book as I am beginning a 2 year DTLLS course, I have found this book invaluable for the use in my course and would highly recommend this book to any one who is considering a teaching career, and doing a teaching course at any level as it explains things really clearly and in excellent detail.

Not as good as Ann Gravells work but still handy to have
Having passed my PTTLS using this and the Ann Gravells book "Preparing to Teach in the Lifelong Learning Sector" I would say the later is more vital if you had to choose only one. However, I did use both and found useful elements within this book too, not as easy to read as Ann's work but like I say still worth having around.
