Popcorn

My father and I were out shopping in Warick way SW1 when we saw the popcorn album in a rack for the pricely sum of 50p, that was 1972 and we listened to it on the HMV radio/grammaphone, now we have CDs and it sounds much better but just as cheesy. I thought there was a track on there called pipeline on the original but it's not on this one, is this false memory syndrome? incidently of all the six CDs this one arrived first but was the last to be played. the cd itself was still wrapped in the plastic film that we all love, the sound has been transfered well and stands up to modern kit, still sounds bouncy.

I've made a lovely memorabilia frame with the vinyl disc in the middle, surrounded with the pictures of the people that danced to the Popcorn song on Top of the Pops. Such a lovely memory for me!

I had this recording (well, volume 1 anyway), on vinyl originally and was surprised to rediscover it again on Amazon.Great to hear again, the Moog based music well produced (not OVER produced), the melodies clear and not done "weirdly" as I call it.Excellent use of stereo which seems to be forgotten these days with over-produced noise.Highly recommended for keyboard fans.
