Digital Hygrometer, Indoor Thermometer with Touchscreen and Backlight, Temperature Humidity Monitor for Home Office Bedroom Warehouse Basement（Blue）

I recently converted my screened rear porch to a room with walls, doors and windows which makes it more like a small family room. I installed an external AC Unit just for the convereted room since there were no air vents for the previously porch. I was interested to see how humid it gets during the day time and therefore I bought this indoor digital thermometer and I love it so far. The thermometer gives the temperature of the room and also gives an idea of the humidity in terms of how wet or dry it is. It also has a date and clock on top of the thermometer so this can be used a table clock which is what I have done. To check how accurately it works, I set my AC unit in the family room at a certain temprature and left the door closed for an hour with the thermometer in the room. When I came back, the reading was approximately the same (Ac was 76 degree F, thermometer read 76.9 degree F). I am glad to have purchased this handy device.

I don't know if this is accurate or not since I don't have other equipment to test it. I imagine it's okay as far as the readings go. Mine did come with instructions, although they were extremely vague and required some trial and error to get it set up. The reason for the 1 star review is that despite having turned off the alarm, it beeps loudly every hour on the hour!! It's so loud that I have it two rooms away from my bedroom, and both nights it has awakened me despite both doors being closed. I'm removing the batteries from it (which were not included! should have been clear about that) today - no way am I going to do that every single day and only put batteries in when I want to get a reading and then remove them again, and even during waking hours it's extremely annoying hearing that thing beeping all the time! Definitely returning it. Too bad, it's not terrible otherwise but can't tolerate that one bit.I also agree with one of the other reviewers, it took me several minutes to figure out how to remove the cover to put batteries in it upon receipt, finally figured out to open up the stand to do so. Poor design in that sense as well.

The room temperature and humidity numbers keep changing back and forth (e.g., 75F to 78F) every minute or so. The time is different every time I look at it and the blue light, when activated, stays on for only 4 seconds. In the middle of the night, I would hit the light button and the numbers were hard to read, then it was gone. I had to keep hitting it and that disturbed my sleep. Needless to say, I returned it.
