The bad reviews tend to be about expecations
This is one of those things that's hard to review because taste is subjective. But I did notice that most bad reviews are more about expectations than quality or taste. 'I thought it was going to be..." or "This isn't like...".Personally, I received one of these in a vegancuts box and loved it so much that I bought a 4 pack off Amazon. The downside is the price is ridiculously high, making these an 'every now and again' indulgence. As far as some of the negative things I read:- Packaging clearly states these are blondies or brownies, not cookies. If the blondies you do enjoy or are used to are hard like cookies, then I have some bad news for you: you have been living a lie your entire life (or maybe, reconsider that the things at Starbucks should NOT be the baseline for what you know)- Birthday cake flavor is akin to birthday cake flavored ice cream, not an actual birthday cakeAlso subjectively, I haven't experienced any other vegan, packaged dessert snack as good as the Birthday Cake blondie. I'm not saying there isn't a better snack, I'm saying the ones I've tried so far aren't better than this.... most are dry rocks or taste like nasty protein bars. Would have been nice if those who claim there are better ones out there actually name them for the rest of us. I also only tried the Birthday cakes one, so I have no idea about the other flavors. Maybe the others are horrible, I wouldn't know.

Wow! Love these!
My 2 teenagers and I have Celiac disease and allergies to dairy (casein) and soy. The kids usually don’t like my homemade gluten free & dairy free baked goods, so I’ve spent a fortune trying every allergy friendly snack under the sun, but they usually either taste awful or have a lot of junky ingredients and tons of sugar. These birthday cake treats sounded too good to be true, but I ordered a box and they disappeared before I even had a chance to try one! Now I order them in bulk and hide a few for myself. They are AMAZING! They taste like “real” birthday cake and sprinkles, but not too sickeningly sweet. I send them in my daughter’s lunch, and I’m going to stock my son’s dorm room with them. It’s awesome to have a fun treat once in a while and feel like a “normal” person again!

Waste
First off due to the price I expected a lot more cookies. But instead I got 4, only 4 cookies! That's almost $4 each for small cookies. They look pretty but they taste awful. The have a super strange texture, a disgustingly weird sweet taste, and a gross after taste. My stomach actually hurts when I try eating these because they're THAT bad. I'm tossing them; such a huge waste of money

I like them, but they're overpriced
The texture is perfect, very soft like a wheat-based brownie. The taste is about what I'd expect from a bean-based treat. Do not go into this expecting this to taste like the regular version. I do appreciate that the company didn't go overboard with sugar to try and compensate for the fact that wheat flour is not used. It's fine the way it is. It certainly hits the spot for me. The four star review (instead of five) is due to the price. In my opinion, this product is quite overpriced, definitely not worth $15 for the box of four.

The best among Food Allergy/Vegan snacks
Short version: hard to find a better allergen-free/Vegan brownie.Long version: Aside from choosing to be Vegan, if you have never HAD to avoid ingredients because of food allergies, consider yourself fortunate. Our son was born with multiple anaphylactic food allergies, so 20 years ago we tried countless recipes to make cakes and cookies that were nut-dairy-wheat-egg-gluten free that tasted just a little like the desserts made with the allergens. It was a long road. With that history, I do consider myself somewhat of a connoisseur of allergen-free snacks. If only these were around back then! Please keep in mind YOU HAVE TO COMPARE APPLES TO APPLES! If you do a side by side with a Rule Breaker brownie and your favorite Hostess or Entenmann's, the classic American palate will almost invariably choose the preservative and junk infused snack. Line up a few Vegan/Allergy-free snacks, compare, and I'm confident you will find Rule Breaker will be the go-to. The truth is it is very challenging to create a dessert without the junk, but Rule Breaker has really done a fantastic job! If you are a family that has an EpiPen in the kitchen, these belong in your cabinet. At around $2 apiece - the price of a Starbucks Grande coffee, or an iTunes song, I find it hard to say the price is prohibitive. I would have gladly shelled out $60 a month to see my son's smile as he chowed on one of these every day.

Delicious! Are you sure there’s chickpeas in here? :-)
I have had to go vegan for health reasons. I miss a lot of the sweet things I used to be able to enjoy. I got a vegan snack box and one of these was in there. I wasn’t expecting much. Most vegan sweets are ok not great. I figured this would be no exception, especially when I saw the first ingredient was chickpeas. Happy to say that my assumptions were incorrect. The flavor was amazing!! Just like birthday cake you would get at the store. The consistency is more like a fudge/brownie hybrid. Loved these so much I ordered a box.

These taste AMAZING
I love these and have probably spent more than I would like to admit on these over the year i’ve known about them existing. I love the birthday cake flavor but my only thing is the priceee. I love a vegan treat and understand it’s not easy just pricing them lower because of the cost of the materials and to make it but I really would have these in my cabinets more often if they were a little cheaper

Best allergen free cookie I've ever had
These cookies have everything you are looking for:-taste-texture-the right amount of thickness for a satisfying bite-moisture.I use them as treat, and even post workout snack (I eat 1-3) and not only do they keep me full, but I don't get huge spikes in blood sugar from all that fiber
