Nice, but needs modifications
I like this cover. It does what is needed for a laptop, it protects the laptop from everyday wear. I like the feel, look, and fit. It fits my 15" Surface Book 2 nicely and keeps it from getting more scratches from the everyday going in and of a bag and normal use. I also like that the cover brings the base of the computer up a little higher, this allows plugging in USB devices that do not have to be trimmed.So, why 3 stars? There are a few issues I have with the cover, one major and three minors. I'll cover the minors first.As you can see in the pictures, the cover is stamped for the Surface Book 2. One minor issue is the pen holder. The location is just completely incorrect. If a pen is occupying that space, then a person would not have access to the power port or the USB C port as they would be covered up. This could have just been left off or moved to the cover that is protecting the display. For me, this would on the other side of the computer, since I usually leave my pen attached to the computer and the power port side is inserted into my bag first.The second minor issue is the cover over the display. As you can see in the pictures where I have the pen attached, the cover comes between the pen and the display. This makes the magnetic connection between the pen and the display weaker, not by much, but I would have preferred the cover not interfering with the magnetic connection.The third minor issue is the closing flap. The stretch material is good, but I think a magnet would have been a better choice. A magnet will last longer, I expect the stretch material to only last maybe a year.The major issue I have, again is with the cover around the display. The flaps connecting the two covers and go around the hinge should have been designed differently. This should have been just one flap and only attached to the base cover. With that flap attached to the display cover, it leaves something hanging out there when using the display in the tablet mode, can be worked with, but is annoying. The major part of this is when the display is turned around, connected to the base, and in the folded position. As you can see in the pictures, the display cannot be folded against the base. I'm sure the cover will prevent the computer from being fully folded over, but I think the cover would rest against the cover and still allow the computer to be used as designed.Does this mean I will return the cover, no. There are not many covers out there for the Surface Book 2 15" version. Of the others I looked at, this one seemed to give the best coverage.

The top cover covers exhaust CPU fans and causes the tablet to heat up more. Very good stylish case but for people who use the Surface Book 2 for video editing using Adobe Premiere Pro, you will want the full CPU fan exhaust. While it does not block 100% of the fan exhaust, it does block maybe 10-15% and it seems to run much hotter with it on.If they can redesign it so it does not block ANY of the exhaust fan, I would happy to re-order this item. But if you don't use your Surface Book 2 with high-CPU programs like Premiere Pro or games, perhaps just web browsing and light photo editing, you should be fine with this case.

Great fit, lightweight
I was trying to pick a case for my wife's Surface 2. It feels and looks great and, being an author, she enjoys the notebook look it gives it. It was very easy to install.That being said, only slight issue would be the lose tab that hangs off the screen once you separate it from the keyboard part. Not much that can be done about it and not a big nuisance but still something to keep in mind due to the design of the case.

Covers Don't Connect When Closed
The case looks nice until the laptop is closed. The case does not stay connected between the display and keyboard. The result ends up as 2 sides of unconnected cover instead of a continuous binding around the laptop. It does not look appealing, especially for the laptop it is protecting. 1-2mm more of fabric on one of the cover pieces would have done the trick allowing them to stay together.A positive is that the make and materials are otherwise very nice. Perhaps the merchant can take this feedback and fix it. I'll be thinking hard the next few days whether to return this item.

Case for 15" Surface Book: Product did not completely live up to description
What I liked: Case is attractive.What I disliked: Add shows that case comes with an elastic ring which serves as a pen holder. This is a misrepresentation. This case had no such ring, causing disappoint.

Got it for my son...he loves it!! He said it protects his computer and the design is perfect for college students.

Excellent Product, Potentially 11/10
A high quality and well built case. It has a great feel with a beautiful look. If a computer pen holder was attached, the product would rate 11/10.

Utilitarian case is useful but lacking some elegance.
Loved the overall idea. The pen loop isn’t ideally placed. There are elastic links where the pen magnetizes to the side of the surface book. This makes it a little awkward to attack the pen. Overall good product but has its quirks.
