I have a number of different lenses from various vendors that I use with my iPhone. Most require a special case or adapter. That means I can’t easily switch between lenses.This adapter does work with a variety of lenses - but not all. The adapter is set at specific sizes so it is more limiting than I was expecting. With that said, I am able to make pretty good use of this with a number of lenses I use the most often.The phone holder works well on my iPhone 16 Pro Max - even with a case on it.The screw thread for connecting this to a tripod does work very well.The only real issue I have run into is that the screw used to adjust the angle of the lens holder isn’t that strong. I can’t seem to keep it tight enough to not have it move the lens around.

I'd ordered a Neewer telephoto lens with a 17mm thread. Neewer has camera mounts for most modern models of iPhones, but I had my heart set on using it with an old iPhone 12 Pro Max, which they didn't support. This little gadget does the trick nicely.To use it, you stretch the spring-loaded clamp to get a solid grip on your phone; at first the grip was so tight I was afraid it'd damage my phone or case, but both came through with flying colors. Their design is brilliant in that there's one screw you can use to secure the position of the lens securely, and another hinger where you can "flip" the lens out of the way if you're not using it. It allowed me to position the telephoto lens right over the telephoto lens of the iPhone, effectively extending its range.The part that threw me off at first is that there's a filter mount for a 37mm lens that's already screwed on to the 17mm threads which I had to remove to put my own 17mm lens on.Even though it's pretty secure, I'd still recommend being cautious, especially if you're working with expensive lenses.They did a nice job with this, which is smart because it just makes me want to buy more lenses. While my iPhone won't replace a professional SLR camera any time soon, it's nice to know you can come closer to a lot of the shots that those camera shoot at a lot less of an investment.

I got this to help shoot some videos for an NGO and to leave them with this so they can continue to shoot videos later. It is easy to install and the thing as a whole is nice and works as is meant to. Where-in comes the problem, is when I add any lens. Phones aren't heavy but when I add a lens to it, the weight balance goes off, and it gets kind of weird. The phone feels like it's always about to fall/tip over. I was still able to work with it but it felt very off putting. Also, when the lens is attached I had to be extra cautious as it felt that tightening the lens could tighten the adapter threads and it would get very difficult to remove them as there's not much room to grip to unthread it.

I have a 17mm anamorphic lens that I use for taking pictures on my iPhone, but I never had a convenient way to mount the lens to my phone. I'm so glad that this Neewer lens clamp works with my iPhone 14 Pro and lets me position my 17mm lens so I can take anamorphic pictures!

It. Works. Great. This really is universal for all phone and camera configurations. It allows for a ton of minor adjustments for perfect alignment and lock into place easily. It is padded in all the right places and has a soft material around the lens holes that will not only protect the cameras lenses, it also makes a good seal for preventing light to bleed in around the attached lenses. It feels nice and sturdy and can be attached and aligned rather quickly no matter which phone I choose to put it on. Oh, and the step up adapter is also great... It allows me to use the most common phone lenses and filters without having to buy anything new.

If you are looking to add a 17mm lens to your phone but do not want to permanently keep a case/cage that can accommodate 17mm lenses, this is a good option. It is a bit tricky to align the clamp so that the 17mm aligns perfectly with the camera lens but with patience and keeping an eye on your screen you can get it into a position that works. After using this I feel that a 17mm case or cage works better for alignment but as mentioned previously if you do not want to mess with a cage, this is an improvement over 17mm spring clips that are even harder to align to your lens. The overall build quality of this is good and what you would expect from Neewer.
