Thin and collapses to easily
The wic collapsed to easily. It was what it said but if you are purchasing for an oil lamp it will not catch. Needs a more dense core

NOT anything like picture
,It came in a vacuum sealed bag and looked like a wet dish towel. Once the bag was opened, it took me over 30 minutes to un-tangle the knotted mess. I have no idea what to wrap it around to be able to use it.

Flimsy
This cord is a bit flimsy and doesn't burn like is needs to.

Burns down with small flame.
I think how well this works also depends on the kind of vessel it is being used in. I have a tall glass oil wick holder, inside a tall glass tube, and as a safety measure I place an open top hurricane glass shade over this. This wick atop the glass holder lit, but burned down to next to a very small useless flame. It did stay lit, but it was barely aglow, and serves no purpose in lighting. I am not so sure that this has anything to do with this wick material. It fits the wick tube snuggly.
