G2 High Temperature Brake Caliper Paint System Set Purple G2165

First let me say, I don't write many reviews. I'm a 42 year old female and I recently bought a Mustang. I made a promise to my dad to buy this car because we loved it so much (he restored old Mustangs when I was a kid. ) Needless to say, he passed away before this model year was released. So I've been fixing my car up and I bought drilled and slotted rotors. I have big Brembo brakes. I mean, the calipers are HUGE. I didn't want to make my car all girly looking but I wanted some purple accents, so I decided to paint my brake calipers.I've read mixed reviews about this paint so here's my take on it. Everything you need is included. For the reviews that said there wasn't enough paint, you must've been trying to paint the side of a barn. As I mentioned before, I have (4) large Brembo calipers on my V8 Mustang GT. I did 2 coats on all four of them. No, it doesn't seem like much paint, but I had plenty of leftover. I could have easily done another coat or two. The supplied brush did just fine. It was super easy to apply. To be honest, I didn't even need to mask. The paint wasn't real runny and it seemed to coat well even with just one coat.You just clean the calipers with the brake cleaner and wait 5 minutes. No sanding, no mess. Slap a coat on, wait 15 minutes, and then slap another coat on. I did all four basically at the same time with all four tires off. It took me about an hour. According to the instructions, the paint is only good for so long once you add the activator. I really hoped I could save the rest and use it for something else, but after re-sealing the can, it didn't take it long to harden up.I bought the purple color which some reviews said it was more of a fuschia color. It does come purple in the can but I can see where it looks a little more fuschia in the sun. It does look a lot more purple than pink, and if I'm being honest, the fuschia color was exactly what I was going for. They come out as a purplish glossy non metallic (not like the picture Amazon uses) color. They can look somewhat fuschia in bright sunlight.This is epoxy, and it dries hard and glossy. My calipers look great behind my wheels. This stuff is amazing. I'd buy it again in a heartbeat. If you have any second thoughts about this stuff, buy it. I promise you won't regret it. I had guys at a car show come up to me and ask me about my brake calipers. This paint was super easy if you follow the instructions. Well worth the price as it is less than half the price of caliper covers for a Mustang. I also made white vinyl Brembo decals with a Cricut, to go over the raised brembo letting on the caliper to give it some contrast. They turned out amazing. I definitely recommend this product!

It’s purple, but not exactly what’s advertised.

Toss out the brush and you have a winner here. I have rattle canned a lot of calipers and the masking off is a pain in the ass and the longevity of the spray was sub par. We will see after a harsh winter how this product stands up.

Based on other reviews I purchased the blue paint as well and mixed to create my desired shade of purple.

So impressed by this product!!! Used this on my 1998 Talon with super rough calipers. They look brand new! It was so easy to use and made the biggest difference! They are definitely not purple but the pink looks super nice on my teal car! HIGHLY RECOMMEND! Doing this made my car look 100x better and so far it’s extremely durable!

Love this product, I’ve used it before to paint calipers on my other car. Last the longest than any other paint product out there.Has the best look and finish.

I would definitely buy again had enough extra paint! I painted the top motor, alternator n more worth it
