Couldn't crimp on outdoor cable
I wanted to add lights to a newly purchased 12 gauge underground cable but it was too hard to get the connectors on. Using 8 inch pliers or even cutting through the cable first simply wasn't enough... Went through 6 before giving up.

I purchased for the wrong application. (low voltage landscape wiring)
AFTER purchasing and NOT being able to make the connectors work on LV landscape cable, I came to realize that I had focused too much on the gage ratings and not on the photographs that showed the crimps used on non-weatherproof wiring.While I won't return the connectors for refund, I will say that the description should CLEARLY state "suitable for interior wiring only". I am clearly not the first person who made this mistake.

They work
There aren't many connectors that can mix 22 AWG wire with 12 AWG wire, but the mix and match ability of these connectors does the job. I didn't have any problem with the two parts staying together after they were joined. The part that goes on the running wire can be a bit fiddly to close properly--I broke a few trying to get them closed. I found that a pair of channel lock pliers with its hinge on the hinge side of the connector seems to work best.

Needs Improvement
Product needs improvement. After trying to use 20 of the connectors, they would not crimp and hold properly. Will never buy again. Not recommend.

Easy to use and the most used size
Good quality connectors and real easy to use. I prefer using this style when you don't want to cut and splice the wires

Exactly what i was looking for...
Haven't had a chance to use these yet but have used them in the past and they work good. I recommend using some sort of sealant along with this so to not to fall victim to corrosion either in the wire you are soliciting into or t he connector itself.

Terrible
The 12-14 G is the same size as the next lower size. More than half of the ones I used (yellow for 12 AWG) didnt work. It looks like the same size and the blue. Had to tape it to hold it shut.

Not impressed
While these look like solid choices for their ease of install, they don't seem to adequately lock in place. Once you install the tap, which holds on fine, the blade connector does not install very tightly to the tap and can easily fall out.
