Good flavor, seems pure
I got this for my husband who is interested in Bryan Johnson's research, and we are both fans of matcha. I have purchased lots of ceremonial grade matcha directly from Japan and I found this to be comparable in terms of bright color and flavor. It did have a slightly more earthy taste, but I kind of like that especially when making a matcha latte. I agree with other reviewers that the container and plastic spoon is unnecessary and messy, but the product itself is good.

Good Matcha. Bad Scoop
Firstly, I expected a person/brand who is conscious of microplastics to not use a plastic scoop for their product (especially when matcha is usually used with a wooden spoon already.Secondly, the scoop is packed so far down, which isn’t a big deal because that just happens in transport. My issue with it is that the match gets stuck between the handle and scoop and below the handle in the gap, so a decent amount gets wasted from the extra mess it makes.Overall, satisfied with the product. Fortunately, I have my own wooden spoon I use instead.

My new favorite drink , again …
I tried ice matcha latte in the past and loved it . But from a designer coffee place , this drink is quite expensive , and to be honest , I can’t afford it even though I love it . I ordered matcha in the past a few times , but they turn out to be bitter and unpleasant .I wanted to give a try one more time . I kinda know that there are different grades of matcha out there and the ceremonial grade is the highest grade . Like this one .It comes with a tiny plastic spoon . They suggest to use 1 tsp ( 2 gr ) to 6 to 8 oz water or milk of your favorite . I used unsweetened almond milk . First I heated ( you don’t have to ) mixed the matcha and 175 degrees water and mixed it with milk frothing stick . Then topped it with almond milk , sweetened with agave syrup and some cream and good amount of ice . I’m in heaven !This is a very good quality matcha , I can tell . No bitterness at all , almost sweet .It has 60 mg caffeine and 30 mg L-Theanine per serving for whoever interested .I love my drink again . This time without the expensive price tag . If you like ice matcha latte like me , I highly recommend it . Not just cold , also good as hot drink . My next try is going to be matcha ice cream . Happy customer here . Well worth the price tag .

Very pure and tasty.
I really like how this matcha green tea is finely milled because it makes mixing into liquid very fast and easy to make in the morning. I have used this to make tea and also smoothies and love the outcome. This is a great boost of caffeine in the morning so I would avoid drinking it at night if you are sensitive to caffeine. I use about 1 teaspoon of this powder and mix it into milk and this outcome is unreal. This is good quality matcha and there are no bad added products. After trying this out for a couple weeks, I am really happy with the clean smooth taste and knowing it comes from Japan is a plus for me. This is fantastic for my health benefits and at time same time it gives me great energy throughout the day.

Good quality
Comes with a scoop, which is not as common with ceremonial grade matcha. I like that it's a clear and measured out amount of caffeine and L-theanine.The taste is good. The aroma is what I would expect out of a ceremonial grade matcha and it's got a good smooth taste. It's on the milder side of ceremonial grade matcha. It has a rich and velvety flavor, but not as much umami as some other matchas. The seaweed/grassy undertones are also hinted at, but not as strong as in some other matchas. However, at this price point I think it delivers solid quality. There's not much bitterness, it has a good amount of umami, and there's a satisfying amount of depth in this tea overall. It's also a larger quantity (2.1 oz) and came well sealed, on top of the measured out amount of caffeine and L-theanine.In terms of cognitive effect, it definitely delivers just as much as other ceremonial grade matchas. The L-theanine and caffeine combo works great. Much better than a regular cup of coffee in my experience, especially for enhancing focus.Overall, I think this is a good matcha tea, especially if you're new to matcha. It's easy to drink and the instructions are clear. I appreciate how measured out the amount of ingredients are, which is not something I see typically. The matcha itself is good quality and it comes with a good amount at this price.

Plastic bag. Plastic spoon.
Great product and I really want to support Bryan Johnson, but why on earth is this product in a plastic bag with a plastic spoon included? It’s a head scratcher for his brand to do such. I really hope his team listens to feedback given the Don’t Die movement is trying to stay away from plastics.

Unclear origins of the tea
According to the ingredient list, it’s just organic green tea. But I wish that it had the origin information on it. It only has that it’s distributed from California. It does say it’s ceremonial grade, whatever that may be.It does have directions on the back to make either hot or iced Matcha (nothing new there for me), and also how to mix it with collagen, which I had never thought of before, but now will try. Also, if you didn’t know, green tea does have a bit of caffeine so I’m glad they listed that.
