Worked well seems solid and waterproof. Pro tip the threads are 3/4 inch in diameter If your drilling holes for them.

Nice rubber gaskets on both sides. This will work perfect to extend the USB-A connector on the back of my Radio / media player on my boat to the Dash for easy access. My stereo just came with a USB-A port hanging off the back. I got sick of reaching under the dash to plug in my music. I got this and a cable to extend the USB-A port to the Dash board. Easy install, drill a 1 inch hole and ready to go.

Lots of great uses!
My Miata has a center console lock that no longer works with the key. So I decided it would be a great idea to drill out the hole for the lock larger and to install a USB charging port in its place. Being waterproof also has a benefit for me, as my Miata is a convertible. I like the peace of mind that if I get caught in a rainstorm, water won't fall into my charging port. I highly recommend this product!

Protective caps work poorly
I ordered these to instal in my boat and realized after purchasing them that they have female connectors on each end.. My fault for ordering, but I'm usually pretty good at what I'm looking at. Seamed a bit misleading.. I decided I can make them work by ordering the 12V to 5amp converters (which I though these had built in) and separate lengths of usb male to male cables.. Now after installing them I see the covers that are designed to protect the plugs when not in use are very low quality and dont unscrew easily at all. Not sure in what application these are made for, but I'm going a different direction and ordering the USB that are prewired to accept pos & neg from the battery.

The included gaskets seem up to the task of maintaining the waterproof rating. The USB ports work. Good value for the price.
