fully functional license
With some trepidation, I purchased this online instead of paying the higher price through VMWare not sure what to expect - legally or delivery wise.Turns out this is legal and they emailed the key right after purchasing. Works as advertised without paying the higher price though I believe I don't get live support if required but I'm a home user and don't have the heavy requirements an organization might have.

This product delivered!
I was using older versions of VMWARE player ( 7 or 8) and having data disc corruption when using 64 bit UBUNTU. Upgrading to this second hand copy of VM Ware Workstation 14 seems to reduced or eliminated many of the glitches. Definitely worth the money. The one thing I would add was that I bought this program intending to save upgrading to version 15, I have not been able to register this product, but that may be the previous owner did not correctly remove his registration.

Does work and is legal... I read the license.
Took a little while to get the disk/code but was working off the 30 day evaluation copy so no big deal. And no, it's not a boot leg copy. It's a VLA copy of which you are using ONE of how ever many seat license they had. Probably not what VMware intended but that's their fault for writing a bad EULA/License agreement.

Working great
I was skeptical but it activated and is working just fine.I have been using VMWare workstation since version 8 and I just needed an upgrade because my new computer is on Win 10 and I was running version 10 on Win 7.

Fake.
As Jason said, this is a volume license key, and cannot be registered with vmware. I've requested a refund, and reported the seller.

VMware Workstation Pro 14.1.1 offers a new set of user experience problems.
I'm currently putting VMware Workstation 14.1.1 Pro to a standard 30-day free trial after having used prior versions of Workstation for a number of years.I expect eventually to buy an update license directly from VMware (currently $150 when updating from relatively recent prior versions) in order to avoid any difficulties or questions of licensing terpitude. What's good: Workstation (hereafter abbreviated WS) 14.1.1 mostly works, still, even on what is one of VMware's seemingly less well supported hosts, Ubuntu 16.04 LTS. Haven't tried WS 14.1.1 on a Microsoft Windows 10 host just yet, but if WS 14.x works on Windows 10 at least as well as did WS 12.x, then it'll be acceptable, notwithstanding WS 12.x's various annoying quirks, such as crashing for USB-related reasons. What's bad: display handling and mouse focus problems intensified in 14.1.1 by a subjective factor of 2.- For example, various circumstances can shrink the guest display to the point that it's unrecoverable short of logging out from the guest.- For another example, getting mouse clicks to be directed to the guest that appears to be in focus can require some trial and error, such as using the hotkeys (CTRL-SHIFT-ALT in my case) to defocus and then clicking again in the guest.A possible work-around for at least some display-related problems: turn off timeout-based guest screen locking; only lock the host display. Some of these user experience issues might be caused by open-vm-tools/open-vm-tools-desktop version 10.0.7-322 for Ubuntu 16.04 guests rather than by WS 14.x itself. But since VMware deprecated its native VMware-provided guest agent (tools) package support a while back, I feel justified in blaming VMware for user experience shortcomings even if those shortcomings might be more accurately blamed on the open-vm-* packages. It's possible that 14.1.1 merely suffers from a rushed release in an effort to address the widely reported Meltdown/Spectre CPU vulnerabilities, among other vulnerabilities reported against VMware's various product lines, and perhaps a later release will mitigate the user experience problems. If not, then I might give VirtualBox another chance, although in my previous experience VirtualBox struck me as much more complaint-worthy.What remains to be seen: whether the guests all lose their virtual network connectivity - sometimes requiring guest reboots - when the host transiently loses its network connectivity. That was a super annoying problem in version 12.x, both on Ubuntu and Windows hosts. In conclusion, VMware Workstation 14 subjectively seems to be a bit more painful in terms of user experience than it should be.I know that some have blamed VMware Workstation's various problems on VMware having shifted development off-shore in recent years, but even back when VMware development was US-based, VMware Workstation had its quirks. So - WS could be better, but it isn't completely terrible. WS is mostly suitable for its purpose of giving us a hardware multiplication effect, even if that's not as perfect as we might like.

It Works
It's a VL but it works. I just needed a way to take snapshots of images.

Scam. He's selling someone's volume license and then just ...
Scam. He's selling someone's volume license and then just pointing you to the download link. Key will work to install but not register.
