Once again I am impressed by the craftsmanship that went into making these lovely spoons. I purchased a spatula-like set from Earlywood and was so delighted with them that I decided to go for the long spoons in the assorted wood set. I love the length and slenderness of the spoon for getting the last of anything out of a jar, no more wearing your condiments on you hands! They are also terrific for stirring liquids in tall containers, i.e. tea or lemonade or a pitcher of martinis. Beautiful things to hold and look at too. I love the ebony one. Very happy I decided to buy.

I ordered these spoons after I got an email telling me they were available from Amazon and at a reduced price! I have a few items from Earlywood and I love how they look and feel. They aren't your typical wooden spoons you get from the big box stores. I love the fact they are each hand made and made in the USA! (I don't mind paying a little more if it's made in the USA). I also have read the story about the company and watched videos of them working and making the spoons and cutting boards (my next splurge) in the mountains following his passion...I feel a connection somehow to them. Maybe because my son is an engineer too and didn't like corporate America and followed his passion for music. Anyways, I love these and I love the extra long handle and will definitely order other items soon! They look beautiful in my kitchen holder too!

I really like the different woods used in these Made in U.S.A. little beauties. A couple of coats of wood butter only make the colors deeper and richer. I use them at least once a day. The little scrubbing pad that came with them works perfectly to keep them smooth and ensure that they are getting the proper care. I am in love!!

One of the spoons, the light coloured one, was a little rough on the edges of the round spoon area. It had a teeny wood fragment - almost negligible. Otherwise, perfect spoons! Wished all four spoons smelled of the wood it was made from. For instance, my pine bowl from Germany smells amazing. But that could just be the fact that pine is a type of wood that smells more than the variety used to make these sturdy spoons. One of the Earlywood spoons in the lightest shade smells faintly amazing after months of use. I would definitely buy more of these sturdy, well-made and natural products by skillful artisans.

To be honest I don't find myself using these all that much. However they are very pretty and cute. They work fine.

Love these spoons! Extra long reach to keep your hands out of boiling water, just right for stirring in seasonings or moving a gentle simmer around. Keep 'em out on the counter and you'll use them daily.

These are beautiful and the perfect size for stirring soups and drinks in pitchers. I really do hope that he will make some around 18-20 inches long and a slightly bigger head/cup (not as big as a ladle just about 2-3x bigger than these with a slightly deeper well). *hint/hint* I just can not get over how beautiful these wooden spoons are. I love the different woods that were chosen and the colors. Very versatile. Will be buying more for gifting.
