This video doorbell has a lot going for it, but as much going against it. The good stuff: The video quality is excellent and the audio is quite good. You can set the amount of recording time and view at your leisure. Once you realize there is a small plastic strip keeping the batteries from making contact to power the device and remove it, it is easy to set up and install. And I can't say enough about the video quality.The bad stuff: False motion detection renders the device almost useless. The vast majority of the motion detects it sends have absolutely no movement in the video recorded during the detect. Yesterday alone I received around 20 to 25 notices of "Motion detected", but when I checked the live view and then viewed the recording, there was no movement anywhere in any of them. There is no way to set the sensitivity of motion detection, only the amount of time after motion is first detected and before the notice is sent. You can adjust this between don't detect any motion, only send a notice after 10 seconds of motion, only send a notice after 5 seconds of motion, or send a notice immediately after motion is detected. That is NOT sensitivity, merely time lapsed. I need to be able to set it so that a vehicle passing by the house 80 feet away from the camera does not trigger a motion detect. Also, by the time the notification is sent and received, if someone actually did come to the door and ring the bell, they're usually gone before I can respond.If you want a high quality camera to monitor your door, this is a good device. If you don't mind a lot of false detects, it may serve you well. But if you want real and true notifications of someone approaching your door, standing there, maybe actually pressing the ring button, then look elsewhere. Personally, I cannot recommend this video doorbell.

This is a surprise given its price, it turned out to be quite solid and well-made. Works great with good visual and audio quality. Definitely recommended!

THIS COMPANY HAS THE BEST CUSTOMER SERVICE THAT I HAVE EVER EXPERIENCED. IM NOT VERY TECH SAVVEY AND TROUBLE TRYING TO GET THE APP USED WITH THIS PRODUCT TO DOWNLOAD AND GET THE DOORBELLS TO WORK, SO I CONTACTED THE COMPANYS CUSTOMER SERVICE SUPPORT, THEIR REPRESENTATIVE EMAILED ME AND CALLED ME EVERY DAY TO HELP ME CONNECT MY VIDEO DOORBELLS UNTIL THEY WERE UP AND WORKING PROPERTY. THEY WERE ACTUALLY CONCERNED ABOUT ME AS A CUSTOMER AND ABOUT THE PRODUCT I PURCHASED. I WILL RECOMMEND THEM TO ALL OF MY FAMILY AND FRIENDS AS WELL AS NEW CUSTOMERS.HAPPY SATISFIED CUSTOMER,PINK

 Well this is an update after a month and a half it went dead. Changed batteries and still no go. Watched YouTube videos still don't work. It was working fine except the part the battery need to be charged almost every other day, misleading in description that lasts. This no bueno. Don't buy save yourself the headaches with this.

I received the doorbell on July 19 but could not have it installed until August 26. It didn't work so it was decided maybe the batteries were dead? There was no charging cord in the box. ( we went on you tube to find out information). The instructions are written so tiny you can barely read it, must be a shortage or paper where it is made. The company needs some inspectors so all parts are included in the box. I contacted Amazon and have a battery charger on the way. Hopefully that will work but I shouldn't have to do that, There should have been a cord in the box. Very disappointed with the product so far.

So I went from a 1 star (0 really) to a 3 star, back to a 1 star. After getting it connected and apparently working once it will no longer do anything. The whole app is completely unresponsive and I'm not going through the trouble of reinstalling it yet again. Furthermore, the doorbell itself seems to be completely dead after 2 days despite having charged it before installation. To add the final insult to injury, when dismounting the thing to prepare for return, only one screw came out. Two busted at the head, one stripped out to where I had to drill through it to get the mounting plate free, slightly damaging the plate in the process. I'm going to be furious if I don't get my refund because of it.I really do wish it had worked. I feel like most of it's problems are software related. If they got that ironed out they could run circles around that certain overpriced one with no onboard recording storage everybody knows.Lovely item, excellent packaging, even includes a scrwedriver for the battery cover. There are two apps. I downloaded them both. Neither one was capable of connecting this doorbell to my network.It would be an excellent product if it worked.*The next day*Started the process to return, but saw the option for technical support. Thought I'd give it one more try and use the tech support. Reinstalled the app (the first one, not the second version) and it just worked. First try, not a single hiccup. The only thing I can think of is I had plugged in the indoor chime last night, but didn't have it plugged in tonight. I can't imagine that made a difference, but there ya go.

Lousy! It could not find the internet. It was 10 feet from the router/modem and could not find it.

This video doorbell is a great way to view who is coming to your door without opening the door. I can even view and speak to whomever is there from a remote site, so no one has to know that you aren't home.
