When I received it, I tried to rip 15 different music CDs. Some where clone CDs and some were original CDs. When I tried to rip them the reader was only able to successfully read 2 of them. 1 was partially read and the rest were not readable. I took those same CDs to a PC with a built in DVD player and it was able to rip all 15 of the CDs including the ones that were unreadable by this device.
