This is a A6 size (148x105mm or 4.1x 5.8 inches) notebook filled with 480 pages (240 leaves) of luscious 52gsm Tomoe River "notebook" paper. Each page is printed with a lightweight 3,7mm grid, which is versatile for handwriting, doodling and drawing. If you are looking for Tomoe River paper then you already know it is a strong, lightweight paper that is resistant to bleed from water-based fountain pen ink. We call this a "Cafe"-sized notebook and it is the same length and width as the Hobonichi Techo, although about 1-2mm thicker due to the higher page count. The result is a lightweight, high-capacity notebook that's half the weight of even our own A5 Seven Seas Writer. Please note that A6 is fairly small, almost pocket-size so please check the dimensions before ordering.

As close to life changing as a paper product can get
I have a **ton** of Nanami journals, this being my most recent purchase. This is the first product they've offered on Amazon AFAIK, and I wanted to get a review in to share my absolute **love** of all things Nanami, including this Café notebook. There's a selfish reason too: I want to spread the word about this little company to turn as many people as possible on to their products in the hopes that they keep making these journals forever… or at least until I die. So yeah, if you're into paper, stop reading and buy one now, lol.All of Nanami's journals use Tomoe River Paper, which is a love/hate thing. Tomoe is a Japanese paper that has been in production for ages (I was told they've been making it for over 100 years) designed specifically for fountain pens. It's a very tough, extremely thin paper (comparable to nice bible paper, but tougher) with unreal smoothness that can take any ink without bleed through. I even use dip pens in my Nanami Seven Seas (and loose leaf Tomoe) with no issues. If you're into planners, Tomoe River is the paper used in the Hobonichi Techo. The only actual downside to this paper IMO is that it has a pretty slow dry time… so keep that in mind. The other issue, something that I love but some people hate, is due to its thinness, it does have a lot of "show through" or "ghosting" where you can see what's written on the other side… but this isn't to be confused with bleed through which I don't tolerate in any paper I use.All that said, you don't have to use a fountain pen with these journals! In fact, I have an analog productivity system I use these small journals for (based on Mark Forster's FVP) and use a nice Machine Era field pen with it with a hybrid gel ink that dries instantly.Oh yeah, another *possible* downside to this product is cost. However, while it may seem expensive, if you look at the page count you realize it's actually really well priced. And if you knew the craftsmanship of their products, you would know they're downright underpriced. As far as the actual products go, Nanami is top notch. They have journals in blank, lined, gridded (like this journal), and a type of grid known as "cross grid", all in multiple sizes. Google "Nanami paper" to see all their products since this is the only thing they've got on Amazon (at the time of this review). Their binding is sewn, lay flat, and totally bulletproof. It takes me around a year to get through one of these little ones, and since I keep them in my back pocket at all times, they look like they've been through two wars by the time they're ready to be retired. But they just don't break down. Also, the covers are made of this wonderful super durable fabric that seems to last forever.Gah this is starting to sound like I'm a shill for this company, but I swear that's not the case. I just **love** their products and like I said in the intro, I never want them to go out of business!

Posca paint markers don't bleed through
I use this journal as an art journal. The paper is fantastic. Really fantastic. I use Posca paint markers on it and doesn't even bleed through the page. Awesome. The pages are so thin, soft and smooth. You can't help but to constantly touch, hold and flip through the pages of the book. I heard about how durable Tomoe River paper is which is why I bought the journal for daily art submissions.

Tiny tomoe river! Best journal ever!
This little notebook is perfect for a journal or bullet journal as long as you don't mind ghosting on the paper. It is tomoe river paper which is thin. So far nothing I've used has bled through but it does ghost. I currently use it as a journal everyday challenge and use fountain pens and watercolors mainly. It handles quite a lot. It's small enough that it's portable and also not intimidating to write a page a day. The cover is sturdy but I'm still planning on making or buying a leather cover for it. It also comes with a blotting page which is nice cause some inks take a while to absorb.I also included a picture with my watercolor travel set, my hand and a pen so you can get an idea of a size if you don't know how an a6 measures up.

I love the paper quality and the amount of pages is great. Fits perfectly in my purse and takes whatever pen I use very well. Zero bleed through

Excellent Notebook and ideal for fountain pen use
Excellent notebook in size A6. Paper is famous Tomoe River: a japanese paper that is thin and yet very fountain pen friendly. The paper is able to highlight all the beauty of your inks. You are gonna love this little boy. The size is small and easy to carry. Since the paper is thin, the notebook is light and not thick so you can carry very easily. Keep in mind that the dry time of the ink on this paper is not fast so either you must wait a few secs before turn the page or use the included bloat page. Grid pattern.
