Amazing power for its size and the price
Your browser does not support HTML5 video. The engine works well on Ikea tracks and compatible with other Thomas brands. It can pull 3-4 coaches easily over a bridge. I bought Thomas and Percy engines before but didn't like them due to lack of power. This one looks like it is staying home. Super impressed!

Cute but slow.
This is very cute but not very powerful. It is slow compared to other battery trains. Only one of the engines have a battery. The other has the slot but not the workings for a battery. I thought it was broken but then realized they made it this way. I guess for the price it is ok. Not worth returning, but wish I had ordered a different battery powered engine that had more power.

Good one, worth the money
Its a good one, kids will enjoy it for sure. Its not super fast, neither too slow. it's having a moderate good speed which is good for negotiating the tight curves set up in the tracks. I'm using it along with the imaginarium wooden tracks and does looks like its compatible with Brio too (not sure, need to cross check). Battery last long (not a battery drainer from my experience). Only draw back i can say is for the switch, which is hard for kids to operate.

Powerful, but Slow
This toy has enough power to pull several cars around a track and over bridges, BUT it is on the slow side AND kinda noisy. Seems to be well made and the price is hard to beat for a battery-powered train. Well worth the money.

Cheaply made, but works
Pretty cheaply made trains. The battery operated one goes pretty fast, but it can’t make it up hills in reverse. I wish there was a magnet on the front of the trains so that the battery operated one could be used in the rear of a long train of cars to help push while another battery operated engine pulls at the front, but that’s just personal preference. If you’re looking for high quality trains this is not the item for you. If you’re looking for an OK train that is battery operated and can pull a decent amount of cars somewhat quickly, this is a decent option. Again, there are much better quality trains out there but for the low price this one is an OK option.

Works on Ikea wooden tracks!
My kids are obsessed. Easy to use and pulls a fair number of trains very well. It has lasted through three month of play so far with only one battery change. I was looking for a motorized train I knew would work on Ikea tracks and this is it!

One of us likes it...the other finds it annoying
My Grandson really likes this battery operated train. He creates scenarios for this train to pull or push several of his other trains. How fast can it go around a curve? Can it climb a hill? My Grandson is endlessly fascinated. However, there is one problem with it. It is difficult to take apart to replace the battery and after struggling for ten minutes it becomes very annoying.

Cheaply made but works
As someone who has a deep appreciation for quality and durability, this was kind of a bust. It’s a good toy for a little kid that enjoys trains, my 2.5 year old likes it. But it’s not well made and the plastic is cheap. I could easily see a small child who didn’t know how to keep it nice, just completely ruining it. Don’t waste your money, get a better one.
