Gets jammed up if you don't have super thin plastic.

The younger kids found them difficult to load the plastic but once the got them loaded they were able to make a few things. Takes a lot of practice to trace designs for them, but the found them fun to play with.

I received it incomplete...only one color instead of 12 I bought

We love this pen! It took a couple of tries to figure out how to build objects up, but now that we’ve got the hang of it, we’re making all kinds of things. It’s even easy enough for our 5 year old to use. You do need to buy extra plastic if you want colors.

The media could not be loaded.  I ordered two of these 3d pens as Christmas gift for a couple teens in my life. We had our party a little early this year due to everybody traveling. Upon opening and trying to use them both pens were broken and both in the exact same way. When we tried feeding the plastic into the pen it injected itself into the handle. I opened the screw on the bottom and took a quick video to show exactly what's happening. Apparently the plastic is supposed to feed through a clear tube but it doesn't. One pen having this issue could be a simple error but both with the identical problem suggests an overall design failure. I'm working on returning these now.

I used this pen for about 10 minutes before it lost its ability to stay heated, it wont even heat back up now at all. This is just cheap quality junk, do not waste your money or time getting it, it will fail, it just feels like cheap junk and doesnt even work for me now. I would give this zero stars if I could, its just a ripoff.

The first time I tried to use it the PLA came through the side of the pen. The 3 preset speed and temp. settings were a very poor choice. The cheap motor kept stripping on the pla they gave and it came out the side. The unit is very poorly made. Cheaper pens are better
