These are perfect just like the OEM you would get right along with your tool. They take 20 to 30 minutes to charge for the small ones and the bigger ones might take 40 to 60 minutes. They last quite a while and you're able to get quite a bit done with them before you notice any drainage. They are OEM DeWalt batteries so they are exactly what you would get from DeWalt or in the package with your DeWalt tool. This is simply the best brand you can get. They are nice and clean looking and match any of your yellow and black DeWalt tools. Batteries are a little heavy, but they pack a lot of power. They are compatible with any of your DeWalt tools

At first only 2 green bars would light up on the display and the charge was only 18v i tried charging it and it didn't improve so I used it drained it recharged it and the volts came up to 20+ volts also the display showed 3 solid green bars.

Used it for quite some time before I was able to confirm that yes, it will actually run dry eventually. But that is exactly what I wanted, feeling one large battery is better than switching between several small ones. Also, by getting the biggest, baddest battery (in this voltage), I think I'm thumbing my nose at the lobotomized ones bundled with tools. Now that I've used it day in and day out, I can get it to run dry on the circular saw or driving lots (and lots) of timber screws. But in this case the charge remaining feature is useful. I can see (crudely with only three levels) where I stand, or at least confirm I'm grabbing a pack that isn't close to empty. One tip, a great go-to for a heavy draw use that can quickly stall out lesser batteries (like in 20 seconds then have to recharge, my). I make sure I have this installed when rip cutting 2xs or stacked sheets or when driving a slew of ledger screws. Cons: expensive (duh), large/heavy. But for me, I can choose a small pack if need be or this monster and go and go and go. Your mileage may vary.

Standaard DeWalt 5 ah battery, well built, easy to use/charge/store. On battery power meter lets you know how much battery you have left. 5 ah gives you plenty of power for most jobs and then some to spare. The size is just a little larger than a 4 ah battery, the weight is not bad, works with most Dewalt 20 volt tools. Would buy again.

So glad DeWalt made bigger battery packs for these things. Great battery life (and it was already good) and they sync up with every DeWalt that uses battery packs. Zero complaints. Worth the upgrade! They are a bit heavier, but not enough to make my work harder.
