This chain disc and the grinder disc are effective trimmer attachments for the Hoof Boss Mobile. The chain disc removes hoof material more efficiently and takes less time than a hoof nipper. When trimming hoof flares and chips they are less likely to reappear.However, as in any power tool, to carefully monitor the amount of hoof you are removing while you are trimming. If it wasn’t for the Boss Tool range I would not still be capable of trimming horses feet. Their product line is in my opinion the best.

I’ve had my original chain disk for a couple of years, doing one or two trims every other month in between farrier visits it lasted but when I took over trimming all my horses now that I have enough experience I’m determined I was not going to sharpen my original chain disk any more and it was time for a new one. You can tell the difference, cut better with less effort. Should have done it sooner.
