DECADE Cinema Tray System for DJI Mavic Air

This is not a quick build, meaning the break-down and assembly of the Mavic Air takes time. The fit is extra-snug, almost too tight, and some machining is weak. The phone mount has a set screw and a tension screw, both seem to perform the same task when they should not. One should hold the shoe snug on the threaded post, while the T-type tensioner stiffens the ball joint and affects the cell phone viewing angle.When the wing arms are in place, the platform cannot rest on its own and bears on the drone body when set down.It would seem that once a working prototype was made, all effort to improve or perfect the product were abandoned, when a few enhancements would make this a world class device. Just another example of a lack of imagination.I would not buy again, I would seek a better design, one that was quick and required less assembly and fewer moving parts.

This review really has two parts, one good and one bad. From the ball mount down the product feels very sturdy and will made. The aluminum members fit nicely around the Mavic 2 Pro assuming you follow the directions and do not try to tighten one side all the way before moving on to the other side. The handlebar grips are machined well and attach very securely. Having multiple points and angles to attach is an awesome feature(as you can see I have added a small tripod base to the bottom 1/4" thread when not in use as there is no good way to keep the drone balanced and secure while mounted to the top heavy equipment.Beyond the ball mount I have a very different review of the product. The controller clamp "roughly" fits around the remote, and depending on what angle you want to use your devices, the clamp is prone to slipping off of the remote. (Note-adding simple 3m double adhesive can really help secure this issue. There is one additional piece that is troubling. The bracket between the tablet/phone mount and the controller clamp is clearly 3d printed and lacking in the type of strenth and rigidity needed to hold any type of phone or tablet confidently. As you can see in my photo, that piece broke within a day. Fortunately, I dropped the phone into the grass when it tumbled.That said, I think I would actually buy the product again for the bottom half of the equation. As someone who almost exclusively uses this drone with my phone I was able to modify the remote clamp with 3m tape to stay secure. Ultimately, I chose to epoxy a 1/4" thread to the back of the remote which allows me to attach quickly to the ball mount and use the remote handles to hold my phone as intended.When you are using these types of products you expect your expensive technology to be secure and safe. That said, the Mavic tray is AWESOME, and everything above the ball mount made me nervous to attach a $1000 phone.

The media could not be loaded.  It works well but can be a nuisance to set up (especially if you forget to insert your SD card first). I like having the option to hold it with one or two hands. With the center handle removed (unscrewed), it doesn't take up too much space in the pack.

Very Nice case. I didn't give it the full 5 stars only because the foam around the drone area could have been a bit thicker, otherwise, its ok... 4 stars.

Fit is just slightly loose. Had to add a small strip of foam in between the top bar and drone to keep it snug enough to where it didn't move. Otherwise, solid handle. Very well built. Will revist to update if anything changes.

Great for transporting the drone for flying, one easy case to carry. Also great for home storage of drone and accessories when not using.
