Just recently started going for big carp as I'm a match angler have been all my life so I'm sure I know a thing or two.... First impressions can't argue with it had the spool full lock and couldn't twist it so it's strong and sturdy reel sounds nice when taking line

The media could not be loaded. Was really impressed with this reel! Its almost exactly the same as much more pricey sonik reelReel feels well made and all functions work well! Came well greased ( maybe slightly too much)But it operates smoothly.12000is great size for bigger carp or what i will use this is for catfish and im sure it will great for thatReally liked box design it came in, nice touch!Very good value reel! Solid. Can recommend

Only time will tell how this reel copes when a very large carp or such like is challenging !Shame about the childish presentation box that the reel is sent in.

Nice budget reel

I loaded this reel with a 0.50 100lb braid line and tested it on a local lake. The reel is very strong and durable.With 13+1 ball bearings, it was very smooth reeling a carp and it handled the weight of the fish perfectly. It's quite big and it will not fit in every rod. I used a 4m long rod with an open/wide reel holder. Tried to use it with my 2.1M rod and it didn't fit in the slot but that's not an issue.It's a great reel as it can hold plenty of line on it and works perfectly with thicker lines which is great. The gear ratio (4.6:1) is very good for its size and it's very smooth. The drag is easy to adjust and it can easily handle a big fish without any issues.It comes in a nicely designed artwork box and it's ideal for gifting. Very good price for what you get.I would recommend it.
