Goodbye smelly fingers!
The silicone peeler is great! I was a little unsure when I ordered it because I thought it was a needless gadget, but it actually works! My hands don’t smell any more. I found that I needed to roll the peeler quite firmly to remove the garlic skin, but it was really easy and the skins just rolled off.Also, the garlic press feels really heavy duty and sturdy. I’m expecting that I will have this for a long time.

Heaviest duty garlic press I've ever owned
I decided to test out Hausgard’s claim that I could also use this garlic press as a ginger mincer. I chucked a few decent sized chunks of unpeeled ginger (skin on and everything) into the press to see what it could handle.I was impressed, it breezed through the ginger like melted butter. What’s more, it was also able to handle a few (peeled) garlic cloves that I threw in after the ginger, just to see how heavy duty it actually was.The ginger skins were kind of tightly packed in the press, but I rinsed it under the tap and used the cleaning brush that was included and everything came straight out really easily. I was really impressed.

Excellent Product
Both my wife and I have been able to use the press. It feels heavy duty and had no problem handling what we threw at it. It cleaned easily and the brush helps! The silicone peeler is a bonus and very helpful! That is, unless you like your fingers to smell like garlic for days/weeks afterwards.My wife and I both recommend this product! It would also make a great gift!

Super easy to clean, and heavy-duty
The garlic press is heavy duty, and it feels very strong. I like the way that it’s easy to clean; the part where you put the garlic in swings open and is very easy to rinse out under a tap.I used it for the first time last night when I was making a pasta sauce, and I was impressed at how it crushed *all* the clove, and didn’t leave any leftover waste.I would say that if you’re crushing whole unpeeled cloves like they claim is possible, that it would probably be best to clean out the garlic press with the little cleaning brush that is included.Overall, I’m really satisfied and I would definitely buy this again as a present for someone who loves cooking.
