Impressed and feeling proud...!
I didn't really understand the other reviews of this product. I was looking to upgrade my early two player X-Arcade device from a PS2 interface to USB. There was at least one article on the Web - from a credible-looking source - suggesting that a PS2 to USB converter wouldn't work - though it didn't explain why. So I took a punt on this kit, and it seems to be working exactly as I hoped! :o) The two different joysticks and buttons seem to be interpreted as such. Windows 7 at least, sees it as a two player USB gamepad, and JoyToKey allowed me to test and re-test this throughout assembly. I've attached my before and after pics. HTHs!

It won't swap between player 1 and player 2! Recommended for two players arcade machines.
It does work perfectly! It did solve my problem of swapping Players 1&2 in my homemade arcade machine, now Pl1 is always the left one and Pl2 is the right one! They don't swap anymore. I will recommend this board for two-players arcade machines.
