Just picking this up, can feel the quality, hard to describe but light years better than the $40-70 tripods found everywhere, not even close. Super rigid when open, no hokey lame balancing, has 2 bubble level circle windows, 1 for the tripod, the other for the rotating pad where the laser level sits. The up/down crank works excellent, smooth with good metal grind on the gear teeth. Liked this so much gave away my other tripod for camera/ laser level use. If this is a negative, is one, this sadly does not come with a carry case or bag. Also, no instructions included either. But this is pretty self-explanatory. Thanks Bosch for a wonderful tripod.

**Q: What is the extension column? do i need to assemble it every time i want to reach 110 inches? or do i simply just extend the legs and crank it up?**

**Q: Anyone aware of the a Pan/Tilt Head that uses this 5/8-11 mounting screw?**
A: No.  But adapters are available.

**Q: To what elevation will this tripod reach?**
A: I placed the leg points on a circle that had a 22" radius and got these results. Measuring up from the center of that circle to the top of the mounting plate on the tripod, maximum extension was 9'-6" and minimum retraction was 3'-6". These results are most likely +or- 1".

This is top quality but I wanted it for my Bosch 18v work light, I think the tripod is made for leveling tools. It does work for the light but those batteries are heavy. The tightening knobs don't hold the light and it flops to one side.
