Q: What are the upgrades from the 1st version besides filter monitoring?

Hi RG,We have improved the internal components to reduce the energy consumption and increase the lifespan of the machine. We have made adjustments that will allow better processing of bones and "hard-to-digest" food scraps. The coating on the bucket has also been improved to allow for a better "non-stick" surface and easier cleaning. Hope this helps!

Q: what is the time taken to compost

The cycle will take anywhere from 3 - 6 hours depending on the moisture content of the load. With respect to the by-product, it can be mixed into the soil immediately after the cycle, however for best results, it is recommended that you let the soil amendment mature for at least 30 days.

Q: What is the electric voltage, is it 110 or 220 voltage?

This machine is 110V. Stay tuned for our 220V unit coming soon!

Q: What can I use to help prevent material from sticking to the inside of the bucket.I have to soak and scrape my bucket.

Try balancing the contents like your outside compost - wet and dry. I have found by adding dryer materials even tea leaves and coffee grounds seem to keep the compost from finishing gooey.
