Catechism of the Catholic Church: The CTS Edition

This was better quality than I expected for a paperback and I’m glad I purchased it now and saved a bit of money from the cost of the hardback edition. It’s glued, as all paperbacks are, but it also features a sewn binding, for durability. Being a thick book this is essential to keep the pages intact. However, I like its compact size and clearly laid out sections with legible font; although bear in mind that the text size is about 8 point standard, reducing to 7 point in the charts and tables. Maybe an issue for those whose eyesight (and reading glasses) won’t suffice?!All in all though, a better edition than the original (blue book) because it is up to date and easier to navigate.The CCC is an invaluable resource for every Christian I think, and there can be no doubt about the Church’s stance on every conceivable subject!

Great value for money

This book is important for those learning about Catholicism as it presents the church’s teachings and understandings of the faith. Soft-back but good quality and text is highly legible. Has some heft to it like a dictionary

A great companion. It includes all the things you should have learnt about your Catholic faith but may have missed along the way.

The CCC represents centuries of systematic Catholic consideration of the context of faith. It is presented clearly and in an easy to cite form. You may not agree with Catholic teaching but what that teaching actually is is clear.
