It arrived today. I was dubious as I got it cheaper through Amazon Warehouse & I have no experience of these type of lights. I often buy from the Amazon Warehouse as the guarantee & products are exceptional value. Maybe the original packaging is damaged but it does state that before you buy, so not great to give as a present. In this case, the original box was dreary with a far bit of sellotape but it turns out the product is in excellent new condition. So far so good......But no instructions inside, a bit of a let down,just diagrams on the side of the box. So I read the reviews again online and it turns out others have found instructions lacking, no fault with buying a cheaper one then it seems. Usb charging is same mini usb that works with my Amazon Fire products so if you lose this one, no worries its easy to replace.So I pushed the usb into a suitable plug as I am convinced charging is better than usb alone. So glad & reassuring to see an orange glow appear in the base as it started charging. An hour+ later, as another reviewer suggested all is great. Orange glow still on - does it go off when fully charged? Do not the answer to that yet. Unplugged it....Never had a Touch Switch before..... I like it.... 4 presses in all and it has 3 for levels of brightness and an 4th one is Off. The Switch next to this allows every one of the 3 levels to have 5 ’colour’ choices each, ranging from ‘Ice White’ to that ‘Yellowy Dullness’ I use when reading at night to prevent eye strain etc.All in all, I like it so going to buy more for the family if this one’s battery is as good as I hope it proves to be. The worse would be to have to keep it plugged in whilst using but at least that’s another possibility.

This light is actually quite cool. Unlike traditional lights, it has its own built in battery - so it can be moved around and used without having to be plugged in. There are 5 color temperatures to switch from and there are 3 modes of brightness. When the lamp is plugged in, all the 3 brightness modes become even brighter. I'm not sure if the battery life however I left the lamp on overnight and the battery is still going. On the back side there is a micro USB port for charging and a random full size USB port - I'm not sure what this is for. Brilliant package though.

Bought this for my partner, who likes to construct 'metal earth' models. Not a bad lamp - it's bright enough and can be adjusted to lots of angles. However, I do wish the 'on' button had something on it so it can be found more easily in dim light / the dark and also it's not very stable when the light is at a 90 degree angle and can be knocked over very easily.

I like this lamp and use it comfortably to study or as a soft backlight. Took one star because it flickers from time to time and then it’s fine, so not sure it’s a flaw and there was no guide to say which light is recommended for what (still don’t know, just choose them as it seems fit) Still would recommend it for students.

Overall looks good. BUT, I would definitely recommend that a small relief dot is placed under the power button. If you wake up and its dark you cannot feel the on button. So i stuck a small bead on it to “feel” it.

Great amount of light, holds charge. Bought these for my kids but my hubby needs one now as he keeps stealing/borrowing one from them.Great light if you want a non cabled light for a desk/ bedside, love the changing colour and intensity.

Terrible quality, bought as a gift for my little girls birthday and she has used for less than a week and it is broken. Cant seem to find a way to get in touch with seller. Broken light and no way to get a return. Absolute tat.
