Worth it

Good quality ✅Extra pieces 🧩Just 2 extra things could make this better:1. Sometimes dice just stays inside the tower in the bottom. (If the floor in the bottom was more sideways the problem would be fixed)2. Dice rolls out of the tower area (front walls just had to be a little higher)

Really cool idea and design- needed better quality parts (and why the chairs?)

So, I didn't find out that Dice Towers were actually a thing until a few years ago thanks to my 3D printer and there being a LOT of them available to print out. Kind of ironic given I did a LOT of gaming in HS/College- but then it's been like 20 years since I've played much, so perhaps not too surprising. But when I saw this I knew I had to get it to try out. Overall, it's a good set that unfortunately suffers from their having used less-than-ideal-quality parts. The design is pretty good- I love the way that it looks. I did some testing with the finished tower and it will roll 5-6 6-sided dice fairly well (though you'll likely have to slide them out from inside the tower. I think that it would have been better were it a stud or two wider and a few bricks taller with a bit longer of an output tray, but it does work. Having the tray be detachable and storable on the back of the tower was a nice touch. However I'm not quite certain that I like the raisable-door mechanic on the tower... I feel like it would work better were that not present, and may end up removing it and seeing if it helps. It just doesn't seem necessary, and unfortunately given the quality of the parts it doesn't quite work smoothly.I'm really not certain why the two chairs were included... they're interesting I guess, but unlike the tower (which is clearly designed to be stored/moved easily) the chairs are a) fragile and b) don't add any usability to the dice tower. And one of the uses the kind of annoying 'tiny tube' technique to make double-sided plates- which is doubly a head-scratcher since the -other- chair uses actual double-sided plates. If you get this set- or any other set that uses the small tubes/cylinders like this- I've included some pictures on how to put them into the parts fairly easily. In this set, don't put the shooter element used for the flagpoles on the top of the tower into the top of the tower but instead keep it out and use it to put the tubes into the plates- the rod will fit pretty much perfectly inside the tubes and you can maneuver them into place using the rod instead of having to try and hold and place the tubes with your fingers. I've included pictures showing how this works.Unfortunately, despite how nice the design for the tower is the quality of the bricks used in it was a bit below average. Thankfully the only place where it really seems to be any issue is on the parts used for the moving door (the whole thing wants to bow due to the tolerances not being as tight as actual LEGO-made parts), but it did make assembling it a bit more of a challenge than I would have liked. It's a bit surprising that they didn't use a higher-quality/tolerance part given the fact that the set includes several printer parts, which isn't something that happens a lot with these non-LEGO sets- usually they either have no printed parts at all or they use stickers in place of them (I've seen a set include stickers for things like the 1x2 tiles usually used for a car's dashboard for example). The addition of the printed parts is nice- but it's a pity they didn't spend just a bit more on better parts. If you'd looking for a dice tower and love LEGO, this set is pretty good- I would recommend not bothering with building the chairs though and leaving out the moving door.

Good pieces, fair design, fun

Overall, it's a very good set that I would give 4.5 stars out of 5. The box looks nice. Piece quality is good, but not quite great. The decorations are all prints, no stickers. The one for the seat back of the throne didn't get the color balance right and looks weird, but the rest look good, especially the pieces for the crest and flags. The instructions are very good plus they have a QR code to access them in pdf form. This dovetails perfectly with the way the bags are organized, making it easy to share the building experience with friends and family. It's an enjoyable and fairly straightforward build. The finished product is very good looking, at least from the front and sides. As a functional dice tower, it's alright, but has a little bit of room for improvement. Sometimes I can get the gate to stay raised, but often the vibration of dice is enough for it to fall closed. You can adjust this by pressing the gears more tightly toward the walls, but it would be best if there were a stop for the handle to lock it in the open position. The way dice so easily fall off the curved slope of the throne makes me think the interior ought to have incorporated some of those pieces among the angled ones. Since the design of the tower is so straightforward, it will be easy to modify and could be especially fun to incorporate into another castle build. The throne, chair, crown, and cone of shame are fun inclusions, but the seat of the throne simply doesn't work for dice. I tried the crown on different dice as well and I can really only get it to stay on d4s. Probably a different style crown is needed, or additional pieces added inside for it to sit on other dice. The other hat is perfect, though, and I love the use of frogs as legs for the throne. Both the throne and chair are trickier to assemble than the dice tower, and are not as sturdy, so if you're sharing the work with a young builder, they'll probably have a better time working on the tower.

Looks great but falls apart after a bit of use

Feel apart in certain areas when using it with dice a solution for it is super glue it together especially the tray and door

Fantastic fun to add to TTRPG!

I love the little chairs to sit your dice in when you roll a natural 20 or a natural 1! So fun! The tower makes sure the dice roll several times before coming out in the "courtyard" to show your number, so you know they are getting rolled well! (No cheating!!! lol) Totally creative idea and such fun.

Fun build.

Really cool D&D building set. Pieces are compatible with the name brand. Instructions are easy to follow and build is simple and straightforward. The chairs and such are a nifty addition. I'm just using it as a display piece but I believe you can actually incorporate it into your gameplay.
