Excellent Reference
The charts are extremely well done. They have a collapsible tripod base for easy reference as you work your trigger points. Although the price seemed a little steep, it was worth every penny. The charts are somewhat waterproofed, seemingly covered with a thin plastic coating-able to withstand splashes and be wiped clean...not able to withstand being soaked in water. I highly recommend them. They should not, however, be used as an alternative to a professional massage therapist or chiropractor.

Exactly what I ordered
I had used a similar flip chart while in university and found it a great educational aid for my patients. No one seemed to know where to get one so I went looking online. It is bigger than the one I used but in this case, bigger is bigger; especially with the built in easel feature. It is sturdy and from working with the similar smaller version, it will stand up to repeated use.

This series of charts is used a lot in my practice.
This is used frequently in my practice as a therapeutic massage practitioner. I work on many injuries, rehab work, unidentified sources of pain and discomfort.. And this series of charts definitely helps to sort out the origins of pain.

Really useful information, but definitely not a pocket reference.
My wife has been a massage therapist for some time and has found trigger point information extremely useful in her line of work. Unfortunately, most of the good books/material on the subject matter are a bit pricey. We bought this for her when it was on sale as a "quick reference guide" and while the information in it looks to be extremely useful, as others have mentioned these "Flip Charts" are *huge*, so don't expect to carry this around with you. Each page of this flip chart is basically a full 11"x 17" page (portrait oriented). The chart in its entirety is 13 pages double side printed (not including the "cover" or "stand") on 11"x 17" card stock with a plastic spiral binding at the top. None of the pages are laminated (someone else mentioned the cover was), so while they are card stock, it's hard to say whether they would stand up to much abuse or to the oils or lotions that a therapist would use in their daily line of work. In addition to the 13 pages, there is a "cover" sheet and a "stand" made up from the same card stock. The cover is single side printed. and the stand is blank and a double sized piece folded to take the equivalent of two pages of space. The back "stand" is folded so that it can be expanded to form a triangular stand. The idea is reasonable, but for something this size it's not probably not something that would hold up to having pages turned single handed without falling over.As expensive as this was, I want to make sure my wife can really use it day to day without having to replace it. so while it's not a cheap option, we are probably looking to have it laminated and re-bound by a copy/office center (at roughly $75).Even not being already laminated, we still believe it was worth the investment.

Awesome resource
This book is a phenomenal study of trigger points that would never otherwise be known. Such a simple way to address so much pain from otherwise unknown origins for so many people

A Must for Travell's Work
I use this in my work everyday. Travell was an incredible Doctor and her work lives on through this chart. It is empowering for people to know where there pain is coming from. This is the perfect size chart to help teach folks and also for traveling. I own 2 of them.

Everyone who does muscle work needs this.
I have one already but it gets misplaced in the office so I got another one and I got a used version of the lower body text, having had the upper for decades now.

too bulky to carry around
On the upside: good visual tool! It has enlightened me on the location of certain trigger points of the lower extremities. On the downside-I have to carry it around and that chart is just to bulky for travel. It would be just as good if it were an 8x11.I usually like visuals but this chart lacks condensed info on what you're looking at. The same directions on how to read the chart appear on each page over and over. I would have liked to see some clues and tips instead. All in all, had I known better, I would saved my money to put toward the books because the chart is rather expensive for just the drawings.
