Gets hot, but is great.
Works great, open source drivers very available.One con--this can get pretty hot with robust usage. If temperature is a problem (i.e. in an enclosed space), then this might need to outside.I'm using this on USB 2.0, so it does no good to post numbers.

Etthernet port Keeps going in and out
Port Keeps going in and out on MS Surface running Windows 8.1 Pro. Even with the Surface plugged in and fully charged it looks like a power issue where the circuit comes up and collapses right away again.
