The Waiting Land: A Spell in Nepal

Most enjoyable. Still relevant today.

I have been a life long fan and have all the books. Now I am about to move and have come back from 4 months abroad, Dervla as e-books are fantastic, as I can take them with me anywhere. She is a great writer and I would not be without her along side on any future trip Always 5 stars.

This book as a present for my son who worked in Nepal and for my grand daughter who has just this month returned from there. I haven't had feedback from them yet.

I enjoyed reading this book, not one of my Dervla favourites but well written as always and it provides her usual insights into a world and culture I'd never know about without her.

I read this as it was a monthly read for our book club. I found it ok very descriptive and quite easy to read but a tad pretentious. Not regretting reading it but in no hurry to read anymore.

Interesting for anyone visiting Nepal
