Custom Fit 2010-2019 BMW X5 SUV Car Cover Gray Covers

Works as advertised!
This cover "is" exactly as described it is water resistive but not waterproof, does offer some protection from the Sun and UV. Because it is exactly as advertised I'm giving 5 Stars. What I like about this cover is:1. it is lightweight (as in not heavy), breathable and doesn't flap much in strong wind. it fits snug enough but not tight. I don't think the small amount of flapping would cause any excessive rubbing on any of the cars surfaces.2. works as advertised and perfect fit3. folds down well and not very bulky while in the storage bag.4. has a small tag sewn on to help you identify the "front" end. This might seem like a silly point but consider the size of the car and this cover. When it is folded up there is a lot of material there and identifying the end is VERY helpful.5. has elastic sewn inside the front and rear edges to help it stay in place6. The material used appears to be the same (or very similar) to the BMW original NOAH fabric cover.* As a personal note, I bought the BMW version first, it is 5 or so layers of this material but that makes it somewhat heavy and a LOT more bulky when folded. What I don't like or think would be a helpful improvement, would be making the strap a little longer (maybe 12" more). It is a few inches longer than being the exact length needed to attach it. I find that when I toss it under the car, I have to get on the ground (hands and knees) to reach under and grab it. if it were longer it would be easier to throw it further to the other side. I came up with a work around using a retractable measuring tape and clothespin, but a longer strap would be nice. Maybe it's just me, the only other covers I've ever used are the one on my 320i, it is a strapless type stretch cover and my motorcycle.. well needless to say easy to reach a strap under that. This is a good cover and I recommend it; however, what you can't determine from the write up or the photo is that the material "type" allows the car to breathe, so you can slightly see through it when it is dry. This is not a bad thing but I wasn't expecting that based on how the photo looks. At first I was skeptical that it would protect the car at all. When it rained first time, I was surprised to see the car was as wet as it was (think wet t-shirt) but I read the description again and accepted that it is normal (not waterproof). I was expecting to have to wipe/polish the car after it dried but that wasn't the case. The cover "and" the car dried extremely fast much to my surprise, both dried before the ground did. There weren't any visible watermarks or stains etc. to indicate the car had even gotten wet and the car was still clean and shiny.Recently I had the displeasure of appreciating the bird dropping resistance does WORK. There was a small hardly visible stain on the front at the impact point. I couldn't help but LOL when I saw the "rest of it" on the ground below so about 98% of the bird dump bounced off the cover. The visible stain was only on the surface and didn't penetrate the cover at all. On a more flat or level surface it probably won't bounce off like that but I believe it would probably fall off (for the most part) when the cover is removed. My car is new only a couple weeks old when I got this cover. It is summer here and my parking space is on the top of a 5 level parking lot that is in direct sunlight the entire day. This cover does reduce some of the heat but I will be buying a different one that can block "all" of the Sun to reduce "more" of the heat build up inside the car. I do recommend this cover and will keep it to use during the cooler seasons. It is so light, easy to put on and take off and doesn't take up much space when stowed.Don't let the photo I'm adding put you off. When it is dry you can barely see through it, not even enough to read the license plate but I think it might be helpful for others with setting expectations.. it is not waterproof but it is water resistive. It took awhile before the water got through like this.. maybe a few hours constant rain. Shorter rain showers and drizzles it doesn't seem to penetrate at all..

Not worth it!!
I don’t usually write reviews, but I felt compelled to because this product did not last. After six months, this car cover just ripped and started disintegrating. The fabric is super thin with no lining and the strap broke off.
