Old Timer 69OT Premium Trapper 7.4in High Carbon S.S. Traditional Folding Pocket Knife with Clip Point Blade, Sawcut Handle, and Convenient Size for Everyday Carry, Hunting, Camping, and Outdoors

Had the Buzzsaw Trapper for several years and might be convinced to hand it down one of these days, maybe. I’ve had this Premium Trapper over a year now, through two deer seasons, and it has proven very capable in outdoors, hunting, & bushcraft in Midwest woods in all conditions. It’s proven so handy day to day that it’s now my EDC. The gut hook is a welcome addition over the Buzzsaw Trapper, exceptional for all sorts of bushcraft cordage as well as its intended purpose. This knife/saw/gut hook isn’t perfect at everything but it does enough, well enough, on enough tasks, that I’m not having to reach for something else very often. My only gripe is that the blades don’t lock. Since I carry in a sheath, I’d gladly sacrifice having a little more weight for that added safety when teaching novices. Regardless, carrying tools on your person has always been an exercise in compromise. I compromise less with this tool on my belt. Jmho.

Case used to make one of these, but its no longer in production. This knife compares favorable with that knife, at a fraction of the price. Holds an edge well.

This knife has it all for a great hunt

I bought three of these. One for me, and two as gifts. I wanted the saw to aid in field dressing deer to cut through the pelvis bone. Now for the details. One arrived before the others and I declared it as "my knife". When I took it from the packaging the blades were all so tight that there was no "snap" at all from the springs. I took it to my work bench and oiled it well then manually worked each blade open and closed for a hundred times ( use a cloth around the blades when doing this to avoid getting cut) This freed up the blades to open and close with the click that I expected. Also the saw cut handles were not beveled at all along their length on top nor bottom making a sharp uncomfortable feel in my hand. I used a file to bevel these lines on the handles (took about 30 seconds per handle). After these two procedures the knife is now a smooth operating comfortable feeling tool that should serve the purpose for many years to come. Everything else looks high quality and well made. Now, when the other two arrived I expected the same work would have to be done to them, but they were working smoothly when taken from the packages with a good sound click on opening and closing. I did have to file the handle edges to remove the sharp feel, but no big deal. I feel they were well worth what I paid even though I had to "tweek" them somewhat.

This is a really good skinning knife. Compact, sharp, effective. I did a lot of research before buying this knife and chose this knife because of the reviews and the specs and the Old Timer name and reputation. A lot of other knife reviews commented that the skinning blade was dull. Not this one. Came razor sharp. I wasn't sure at first if I wanted a single blade skinning knife or one that folds like this. I'm glad I chose this one. It has a regular blade, a skinning blade and a bone saw. Everything you need to skin your harvest on one knife. Highly recommend this knife.

Good for the pry

Es un utensilio practico en el hogar y fuera de ella. Con el gancho se pueden abrir latas de abre facil con anilla, Es una navaja muy afilada y con la sierra se pueden abrir recipientes de plástico sellados con calor como si fuera mantequilla.

Después de una larga espera por fin Amazon puso una a la venta y la compré, es una maravillosa navaja muy bonita se siente fuerte y resistente. Sin duda una gran adquisición para mi colección.
