I purchased a floor lamp with 3 arms (lights) and a single switch on the base. Switch can turn on single center light, 2 end lights, all 3 or off. I wanted to be able to turn on a light remotely while sitting on the couch so I ordered this bulb and remote. I love it. I put it it the middle light and just leave the switch on. I can turn the light off/on remotely and dim it (also adjust the color from a more amber light to bright white (bluish). And it stays at the setting until you change it manually. For example, I can have it set to a dim setting, turn it off with the switch or the remote and when I turn it back on, it is still at that setting. Very nice that it doesn't come on bright when you are not expecting it. May order another for the other 2 light.

Wanted to remotely control a bay window pull chain light in our kitchen. The thought of wiring a switch to control the light was daunting, even for someone who knows their way around electrical wiring. So looked for another solution. Went to the big box home improvement stores and of course nothing other than expensive phone app based products. Searched Amazon and found the LoraTap wireless LED, dimming light bulb and remote control. So instead of snaking wires around the kitchen attic and down an interior wall, had it hooked up in a couple of minutes. Wow, it is great. Way to go LoraTap designers!

This is terrific. We have a hanging pendant light which doesn't have an off/on switch, so it ends up staying on all the time ... except when we have company staying in that room, when we have to unplug it to turn it off. I didn't want to invest in a full smart home system and I really didn't want to split the cord and install a switch myself. This is the perfect solution. We've attached the remote near the light so it has the feel of a normal wall switch. The dimmer function is a nice feature, and while I didn't think I needed it, I do like it now that we have it. The only con is that it's a little fiddly to change from one light temperature to another. We'll end up leaving it on one, so I don't see this as a real problem. Maybe a separate button could help, but that may just make it confusing.Ultimately - I love this and highly recommend it.

I've had to correct my original review because I was wrong.I thought this bulb had stopped working after one month, but in fact, I had changed the setting and didn't realize it. One of the settings is very low mood lighting. Please keep the instructions so that you know how to use this bulb. We use it in our nursery for midnight feedings/diaper changes, and love how easy it was to install. If you see any other reviews talking about how dark the bulb was, they probably made the same mistake I did. Great bulb!

As some reviewers have noted, the bulb is not the brightest in lumen output, however for our needs as a remote porch light it produces more than enough light, moreover for us the choice over having a separate remote controlled switch was important as there was not enough space in the light fixture for a separate switch and an led bulb. The remote bulb turns on and off reliably even through the walls of the house (have tested it to about 10 feet inside the house).

Returning! I was hoping to like this but it's really only good for accent lighting. Even though it does have different lighting colors, it doesn't get bright enough to light the room in any real manner, making the dimmer not of much use. I put it on an upright standing light fixture in the corner & it only lights up my little area, unlike the regular size led bulb that was there. The Phillips Hue Starter Kit is much better lighting control costing just a little more but worth it.

One of our best purchases as new parents! GREAT alternative to looking for an inexpensive dimming lamp. Our living room light and lamp were too bright which made it difficult to set the mood for baby’s bedtime. The remote is magnetic and sticks right to the fridge for easy access during night time feeds and diaper changes. Love that what ever dim setting you leave it at when you turn it off-it’s the same once turned on again.

This is an excellent way to control a light without having to reach up or get up to turn a switch on & off. The bulb screws in to a standard fixture & the remote is magnetic & sticks to a metal surface, so portable.This can save you from having to do wiring for a light fixture or help Grandma to control her light from her side.I’m getting more!
