Review: utter rubbish - useless , unit was faulty , felt cheaply made and even if it worked properly it would be hard to get an accurate reading as you can not grip it enough , unless you use both hands . And i have a powerful grip . I dismissed other reviews and thought i would give it a go . Not a patch on my vortex , just a shame the vortex wont reach 65 in lb . Buy something better , cheaper a standard torque wrench .

**Q: Does the wrench break tension like a mechanical torque wrench or do you just stop torqueing when the sound reaches a certain pitch/frequency?**
A: Hi MoneyPit - yes, it's the latter - when the sound reaches a continuous tone, you have reached the set torque. I have used mine several times now and am very pleased with it indeed. Repeatability is necessary to maintain accuracy - with the Wheeler Digital FAT wrench you have a reliable aid to achieving maximum accuracy. Hope this was useful, Rob

**Q: Description states 2% accuracy. Is that 2% of the range or 2% of the setting?**
A: The accuracy is within +/- 2% of the displayed value.  The unit also comes with a calibration certificate.

**Q: Can it be used to loosen screws without damaging the wrench?  In other words, can it be used as a regular screw driver?**
A: We do not recommend it be used to remove screws.

**Q: Can this be used to torque reverse threads?**
A: It can measure CCW torque and beeped at the proper time, but it seemed off by 15% in the reverse direction (or maybe my torque meter is not calibrated CCW... not sure). I wouldn't trust it CCW.

This is a precision tool with a lot of attachments. It uses any other attachments one may have, like my collection of them that come with other screwdriver type of tools. This is exactly what is advertised. It is a torque wrench type of tool, only in a screwdriver form. How did I live without it? It is a great value for the money. The LCD type of screen is accurate and not a cheap component. It gives me a lot of information. The case is a must have item, and this is a very good one. The instructions are top notch and give one a good feeling about making the purchase. This is a well made tool that should last years and years. I would buy this again, even after I have finished my delicate work on a rifle scope. I have a lot of other hobby sort of things that I now know need a torque screwdriver. No more guesswork!
