Saphena Anti-Embolism Below the Knee Stockings with Grips Saphena anti-embolism stockings is a product you can trust when it comes to helping reduce the threat of blood clots forming in your legs. Saphena anti-embolism stockings provide pressure to force blood back towards the heart with graduated compression which is strongest at the ankle and reduces further up the leg. By compressing the surface veins, arteries and muscles, they force circulating blood through narrower channels. As a result, the arterial pressure is increased, which causes more blood to return to the heart and less blood to pool in the feet. Saphena is a Class 1 medical device and conforms to the latest European Standards for graduated compression and also complies with the Medical Device Directive. The compression profile of 18mmHg (ankle) and 14mmHg (calf) is in line with British Standard 7672:1993. These stockings also have an anti slip grip on the bottom of the foot. With Saphena Grip, at risk patients benefit from the proven DVT protection of the leading anti-embolism stocking, as well as the confidence of having a grip sole to reduce the risk of falling on slippery surfaces such as laminate or wooden flooring. This is the below the knee version, but these socks are also available in a thigh high version. This below the knee version is preferable compared to the thigh high version if you are looking to avoid constriction at the thigh. This product is available in 4 sizes including small, standard, large and x-large. They come in green, they are machine washable and made in the United Kingdom. The material composition is 85% nylon 15% elastane. NHS equivalent.
They do what it says on the tin !! after having major surgery I needed to wear these socks to stop blood clots, I needed a spare pair as have to wear them for about six weeks, they are exactly the same as the hospital ones, so very happy with them.

This item was advertised as a 2pack but only a singular pair came.
I’ve recently had operation, and I was advised to wear them while I’m recovering as I’m not moving around as much.struggling to reply to seller as it’s a stupid automated reply.the product is excellent though

Don't misunderstand the description.
The product is fine and was delivered a day earlier than expected but don't misunderstand the wording. Apparently, "(Pack of 2)" does not mean that you get 2 pairs of these stockings for £14.99, it actually means that you get 2 stockings in one pack. My mistake!?

Good quality
These socks are comfortable to wear, easy to wash and easy to put on. They seem well made, and aren't flimsy. The fit is true to size. Not much else you can say, but I would buy these again if I needed more.

Compression stockings
Item arrived very quickly hate the stockings but a necessity after surgery they were the same as hospital issue & I had to replace hospital ones which we tore so we’re very pleased to find these.

Trusted product.
The same sock as the one I was given in hospital. The only issue is my toes sometimes pop out through the hole in sock. I have to adjust it quite regularly.

Very pleased
Same brand as the ones the hospital gave me. Uncomfortable, but that's rather the point - they wouldn't be doing their job if they weren't! Keeping their tautness well after multiple washes. Would recommend.
