GKU 4K Dash Cam Front, 5.8GHz WiFi Dash Cam, UHD 2160P Car Camera DashCam

It is very early days with this item however, at the price, the simplicity of use, reliability and recording quality, I am very pleased so far. It comes complete with the necessary cables for instant use, although I purchased a small USB C to C cable to connect to the high level socket net to my rear view mirror. Skoda is the only manufacturer I have discovered so far with this facility and it did prevent me from having to trail unnecessary cable from my central console. SHould you want to utilese the additional security facilit for when you are parked and away from the car, like all manufacturers you are required to purchase and additional wiring relay which is somewhat more complicated to fit. Overall, I am very pleased with this compact item which although doesnt' have a screen connects quickly to the app to offer reasonable quality images. Transferring those images to a computer permits the footage to be seen in higher resolution and more than enough to identify other road users in daylight.

This dashcam is extremely simple to setup and use, with no frills and no fuss - however it gives a full 4K resolution video capability (and lower res if you choose.) The box contents is straightforward as shown. There is an optional hardwire kit which will allow the parking mode to work up to 48 hours. Mounting the camera is simple, by using the square plastic sticking square, then mount the 3M sticker mount onto that. It would be good to have some additional mounting plates as there is only 1 in the box unfortunately. Setup is all done in the GKU app, after you connect to the dashcam's own wifi. The SSID can be renamed to whatever you want and change the password too. I would like to be able to set the watermark text to my registration number for the recording purpose, but hope this can be a firmware update improvement. The video quality is very sharp and clear, with all details legible such as number plates and road signs etc. You can view and download videos via the app and save, share, upload as you like. There is no option to add a rear camera, but I suppose if you want rear you would choose a different package. You can reset the camera through the app or by holding the side button more than 5 seconds, which can be handy in case of problems, but I have not had any issues. All in all a great little package, which gives a full 4K resolution video and screen captures from that as you wish. Performs as expected and this is a brand that I would not hesitate to recommend.

This was not the cheapest out there but still great value. It captures clear video images and has great storage. You can easily see what occured in an accident and get number plates of vehicles in the vicinity. It's easy to install via the cigarette lighter (or 12v power socket if you're young) or optional wiring into the car electrics. Which I didn't opt for. The camera unit is small and the wires thin enough to be able to route easily around the car trim. The unit is controlled via an App which is pretty easy to follow using the on-screen instructions. You can from there view, download or delete the different captures. As is common the videos are segmented into chunks making it easy to find different stages of trips. Overall it's a highly recommend from me.

I recently purchased the GKU 4K Dash Cam and couldn’t be happier with the decision! This dash cam offers outstanding video quality, thanks to its UHD 2160P resolution. I can clearly see license plates and road signs in both daytime and nighttime conditions, which is incredibly reassuring. Here’s what stands out: Crystal-Clear 4K Recording: The video quality is impressive. I’ve used dash cams before, but this one captures details with such clarity that it’s easy to make out everything on the road. Definitely worth it if you want high-resolution footage! Convenient WiFi and App: I love that it has WiFi and a smartphone app. Downloading videos is simple, and I can adjust settings right from my phone without needing to take the SD card out. The app works pretty smoothly, and it’s so convenient to quickly review footage on the go. 24-Hour Parking Mode: The parking mode is a game-changer! I park in a busy area, and knowing that the dash cam is monitoring my car 24/7 gives me peace of mind. It does need a hardwire kit to make this work properly, but it’s definitely worth the added security. Reliable Night Vision: Night vision is surprisingly good! The camera adjusts well to low light, which is really helpful since I often drive at night. The footage is still very clear even when it’s dark, which I appreciate. Loop Recording: With loop recording, the dash cam automatically overwrites old footage when the SD card fills up. This ensures continuous recording but requires a high-quality SD card for smoother operation. G-Sensor: Equipped with a G-sensor, the dash cam automatically saves and locks footage when it detects sudden acceleration, braking, or a collision. This feature can be a lifesaver in providing evidence for insurance claims. A Couple of Things to Note: You’ll need a good SD card to handle the 4K video size, and high-speed cards work best. The one comes with the package is 64 GB which will be good enough to store the footages approximately 2 weeks. This dash cam records only the front view and no rear recording is available. Overall, I highly recommend the GKU 4K Dash Cam! It’s feature-packed, delivers top-notch video quality, and the peace of mind it provides is worth every penny. Five stars from me!

A brief review of the GKU D200 dashcam (£55) - Manufacturer sponsored review Packaging is sturdy and the contents are well protected. The instructions are a little small in size but clear. The supplier also emailed instructions upon receipt of my order which was neat! The plug-in adaptor for the power is a little bulky but the supplier also offered a separate USB-C cable or wiring kit direct to the car’s fuseboard (the latter option sounds a bit too tricky for me!). The dashcam is small enough to tuck neatly behind the rearview mirror and this was an important factor for me: previously I have had dashcams which are simply too prominent. The downside is that there is no screen on this unit, but for me, that trade-off is worth it. The installation is very straightforward – just make sure the surfaces are clean and take your time -and the dashcam seems to be sturdily stuck in position. Neat bracket too which allows easy removal of the camera. The app is easy to download and use. Whilst the button on the dashcam operating the menu is a little small, the blue operating light is just big enough to see that the unit is in recording mode without being distracting, particularly at night. The voice prompts are useful but I found that there were a few too many spurious ‘Wi-fi connected’ / “Wi-fi disconnected” prompts so I will be muting the voice in normal operation. Importantly, however, the video and photos captured look great quality albeit I need more time to see results in all conditions. The customer support has, to date, been excellent: prompt responses by email and offers of help with cabling and one or two other queries. All in all, an unobtrusive dashcam with great performance and solid customer support.

For the price this little cam is brilliant. Easy to install and is quite discrete, hidden nicely up above the interior mirror. Great design if you don't want all the bells & whistles & the distraction seen in some models. The app works well and it's relatively easy to access the footage. Night vision is good and the overall picture quality is excellent, night and day. Would recommend 👌 UPDATE: Sept 25: connectivity issues, cam appears to have lost its WiFi signal 😬 Customer Services replacing free of charge 🫡

So, having recently purchased a GKU D600Pro (front and rear) camera for my car and receiving very good technical support and backup, I decided to fit a front facing camera to my van (Ford Transit). The D200 looked perfect for the job, ordered in the morning and arrived the same day, which always amazes me (I'm old). I've just been outside to fit it and it was simplicity itself. Good quality packaging and detailed instructions (in clear English), easy to find and install app, plugged in to test and connected without issue. I then fitted the camera as required (quality 3M pad which actually sticks to stuff) as it's easy to view the camera picture on your phone and make sure the camera is in the right position. Then, using the supplied cigarette lighter socket cable, I just ran the line inside the roof lining (using the tool supplied, which is a nice touch) and down the a-frame to the power socket in the glove box. The supplied power unit also has a USB socket on the back, which is really handy as I can still run other devices off it. If I get round to it, I will hardwire the unit (as I did with my other unit to get the additional features) but might not even bother as 'if it ain't broke...' I hope this is useful to others and just want to say I am impressed by the quality of these GKU units, the app, the instructions and the support that actually responds quickly and usefully. PS, including a 64MB card means it works straight out of the box too, just records 60 second files (default which can be changed in the app) and overwrites the oldest when full. Another plus... I like stuff that just works.

Os comento varias cosas.. Lo primero es que no subo video para que no aparezcan matrículas ni personas por la ley de protección. Lo segundo es que las fotos son hechas un día de lluvia.. por lo tanto salen peor de lo que se ve en realidad. Comentar que sobre todo tiene muy buena calidad de imagen, mejor de lo que esperaba, por otro lado cuando he revisado los videos veo que algunas matrículas no las coge bien hasta que tienes casi el coche encima, pero eso pasando fotogramas posiblemente se solucione y se vea bien en caso de accidente, pero normalmente se ve bastante bien, mejor de lo que esperaba. Lo que me ha gustado mucho es la aplicación, conecta muy rápido y se maneja bastante bien, es bastante fácil de entender y sobre todo recalcar que no se corta la comunicación ni se bloquea. Comento esto porque he tenido otras cámaras de este tipo y la aplicación dejaba mucho que desear y se desconectaba o se bloqueaba con facilidad. Por otro lado, tenía un par de dudas y me puse en contacto con el servicio técnico tanto por WhatsApp, como por email ( de las 2 formas por si acaso, no me terminaba de fiar) y tengo que decir que quedé encantada, porque me contestaron por las 2 maneras bastante rápido y de manera satisfactoria. Otra cosa que comentar y recomendar( esto también lo recomienda el fabricante), es que compréis una tarjeta sd Samsung o sandisk y si podéis de 128gb o más mejor. También tengo el kit de aparcamiento y estoy encantada, la única pega que le pongo, es que en otros modelos he visto que en vez de grabar todo el rato, solo graban cuando detectan golpe o movimiento en el vehículo. Sin embargo este modelo con el modo aparcamiento está grabando todo el rato. Pero tranquilos, si tenéis el kit correcto, viene con un aparato en el mismo cable que si detecta que la potencia de la batería baja de ciertos voltios apaga la cámara para que la bateria no sufra y no se estropee. En si la cámara apenas consume lo mismo que una bombilla INTERIOR de coche, osea casi nada, por lo tanto el modo aparcamiento o parking como queráis llamarlo no es un problema que esté grabando todo el rato, al contrario porque si por un casual en vez de un golpe, si nos rayan el coche se queda todo grabado, sin embargo en los otros modos de parking solo se grabaría si el coche detecta colisión. Por lo que lo veo mejor. Y no hay que preocuparse porque la tarjeta se llene, la misma cámara va borrando los vídeos más antiguos, pero solo los que no estén bloqueados. Los vídeos bloqueados NO los borra, a no ser que los borremos nosotros mediante la aplicación. Espero que os sirva mi opinión. Un saludo.

Hoy en día tener una dashcam es casi una necesidad, por seguridad extra para ti y para los demas. Esta camara es pequeña, compacta y la vez ofrece una calidad digna de propuestas mucho mas caras. Su instalación es muy sencilla, se le quita el film protector a la lente y al soporte y la pegamos en la luneta del coche, en mi caso, abajo en el centro. Tiene un gran angulo de visión. Dispone de un led azul que mientras parpadea indica que esta grabando, fijo el led la grabación esta detenida, no obstante también te lo indica mediante una locución. La primera vez teneis que descargaros la aplicación y conectaros via WIFI, con vuestro telefono detectareis la camara, poneis la contraseña: del 1 al 8 por defecto y ya estareis visualizandola en vuestro telefono. Desde la app, podeis configurar practicamente todo, desde la calidad, 4k,2k,1080, el sonido (ya que tiene un altavoz) y la duración de las grabaciones. Asi mismo podeis descargar los clips a vuestro telefono pero ojo la grabación se detendrá. Incluye una tarjeta de 64 gigas, por lo que en principio no hara falta que compres ninguna. Compra recomendada.

Acabo de adquirir la cámara GKU D200 de 2.5k de resolución y tengo que decir que estoy muy contento con la compra. Las características de esta cámara la hacen perfecta para poder realizar una grabación de calidad cuando encendemos el coche de manera automática. Esto es muy útil para olvidarse de que la tenemos instalada, pero se sabe que cuando haga falta, gracias a la conexión Wifi, podemos extraer los videos que necesitemos. Son múltiples las utilidades: desde recordar el camino o itinerario en un viaje, grabar imágenes en caso de un accidente o incluso grabar sucesos inesperados como cruces de animales cinegéticos en carretera. Las imágenes serán de gran utilidad como prueba ante el seguro o perito. Aparte de esta función, tenemos la de vigilancia permanente gracias al kit de 24 h. Que por cierto podéis solicitar al fabricante. Cabe decir que el servicio técnico contesta muy rápido y resuelven tus dudas en pocas horas. Se nota que es un producto de calidad por los materiales de fabricación, el fácil manejo y la gran cantidad de parámetros de configuración que se pueden hacer con el teléfono. En el paquete va incluida la cámara, las pegatinas estáticas, el manual, las pegatinas de doble cara, la tarjeta de garantía y el transformador de mechero que, una vez conectado, permite conectar más dispositivos, quedando un puerto USB para conexiones. También va un accesorio para pasar cables por el coche. Por último añadir que se le puede poner una tarjeta micro SD de hasta 256 Gb. Os recomiendo que utiliceis una de larga duración por que la cámara irá grabando y si necesita espacio sobreescribirá los videos más antiguos. En caso de accidente los videos se quedan bloqueados para que no se borren a no ser que lo hagamos intencionadamente. En resumen: no se puede pedir más por este precio. Gran cámara.

Fácil instalação e utilização super intuitiva. Mais simples é difícil. Serviço de apoio ao cliente 5 estrelas. Muito rápidos a responder e muito prestáveis. Apesar de ser uma câmara 4K, não acho que a qualidade esteja à altura de uma definição 4K. O contraste é um pouco alto e infelizmente não dá para ajustar na aplicação. À noite a imagem é boa mas não é possível ler as matrículas uma vez que as mesmas são compostas por um material refletor, e com os faróis do meu carro as mesmas ficam ilegíveis no vídeo. Durante o dia consegue-se ler quase sempre as matrículas, ainda que os carros necessitem de estar apenas a poucos metros, caso contrário a definição não é suficiente. É um equipamento útil e que poderá ajudar a resolver algumas situação, agora não considero que seja uma excelente câmera uma vez que a definição 4K é fraca.

Lo prometido es deuda y aquí mi modesta opinión. Si esta es la 2.5K con una grabación de 10, la 4K será la reoca, no? De momento la acabo de instalar, fácil y con sencillas instrucciones, la imagen casi a oscuras en un garaje mal iluminado es fantástica, nítida 100%. He puesto la cam al mechero, también la puedo poner al puerto USB, aun no me atrevo a colocarle el kit permanente que gentilmente me han enviado. Primero por la posición un poco forzosa, debido a la amplitud de la carcasa que lleva mi coche en la luna, detrás de retrovisor, (KIA). Miraremos a ver si está permitido donde la he puesto, no afecta a la conducción pero no soy de la DGT, ni de la ITV... y luego por las leyes en materia de grabación, si se trata de videovigilancia o qué, pues éstas en este país afectan y mucho en cuanto a tramitar denuncias mediante las pruebas que aportemos con nuestra cam en caso de accidente, protección de datos y demás que en algún caso se pueden volver contra uno mismo... Así que esperaré a ver si no estorba y después la pondré definitivamente mediante el kit, algo hará de todos modos. Saludos y mil gracias a Emma por su atención y amabilidad. :)
