These are excellent headphones NOT because they sound incredible but because they DO excel at exactly what they claim to be -- supremely comfortable and supremely unobtrusive headphones that you can sleep in. The housing of the headphones is tiny and rubberized, the unique flanges create a comfortable seal in the ear canal without creating pressure, and the cord doesn't have any odd reinforcements that create stiffness. So, if you're looking for headphones to use while you're head is on a pillow, these may very well be the best ones you'll find REGARDLESS OF COST.Now, a few words about the sound. In short, it's adequate. It's not earth shattering amazing, but then again these are $17 so what do you expect? But there are some real strengths here. These headphones have a predictably weak low end given the small 6mm driver. However, unlike some cheap earbuds, these don't sound muffled, so the weak low end can be improved considerably with some judicious equalization to create a listening experience that is decent. When headphones are hollow or muffled, there's not much that can be done even with equalization because hollow is hollow.So, are there other headphones out there that sound as good or maybe even better for the same $$$? As good, almost certainly. Better, maybe. But....but....are there other headphones as comfortable as these that can be worn in bed and squished into the ear by a pillow and still be comfortable? I doubt this very much. For bed use, these are a 100% winner.Final comment, I tried these and several other headphones on phone calls, and people on the other end consistently said they could hear me clearer with these than several other headphones I tried during the same calls. So there's another plus.

Ok so I absolutely feel the need to write a review for these. I have tried LITERALLY EVERYTHING to block out my husbands earth shaking, mind raking, drive a person mad, snoring. I am not exaggerating when I say that! It literally shakes the bed and walls and rings in at 93 decibels. I have small ears and I am a side sleeper so it is very painful to sleep with anything in my ears. The silicone putty ear plugs only blocked out about 32 decibels and caused me to get an ear infection from the sweating. The foam ear plugs only block out 32 decibels as well and hurt my ears something fierce. I wake up to throbbing bruised ears. I even spent the big money on the new Bose sleep buds and they were great at blocking out noise, however, they made a really annoying noise when they came in contact with the pillow and they were not very comfortable when sleeping on my side. So now for the info on these bad boys. I thought for sure only spending $14 that there was no way they were going to work! But I thought what the heck, I have tried everything else. They are so comfortable first of all. They are soft and fit perfect in my little ears. I can barely feel them when sleeping on my side and I have very little to no discomfort in the morning. These babies block out my husbands 93 decibels when the volume is turned up. When I don't want to listen to that loud of brown noise and turn it down, it still blocks out about 85 decibels. It creates a little tiny bit of suction and no noise can get past. The only reason I am not giving these a 5 star rating, is because I have only had them a couple of weeks and they all of a sudden started activating Suri throughout the night. I don't know what is going on with them. But I definitely don't like being startled awake by Suri's stupid voice lol. I turned Suri off and it now dings and wants me to do a voice command all night. I am reordering these because for $14 It is worth it because they do work at blocking my husband out and stopping me from murdering him.UPDATE: They definitely work and I even ordered 2 more pairs for backups. I have a new complaint tho, but it is not enough for me not to repurchase, however, I am hoping the manufacturer will see this and make the change. The volume control button is waaayyy to high on the cord. It lands directly at my cheek and when I roll over at night the volume will go up or down because it is super sensitive. I have to clip the cord to the top of my head and avoid it all night. I really hope they make that change, otherwise they are awesome!

I am a side sleeper and was looking for ear buds that would be comfortable to wear when falling asleep. These are incredibly comfortable!! So much so, I've ordered another set (red this time) so I can use one set at work, as these are much more comfortable than any other earbuds that I own. I mostly listen to audiobooks or a sleep/white noise app (depending on my mood). The sound quality is great!I have also noticed that these block out a good amount of sound (despite not being noise-canceling) which is an added bonus.I highly recommend, especially if you're looking for ear buds to wear while side-sleeping!Update: it’s now mid-December, and I still love these earbuds. I recently upgraded my iPhone so I did have to buy an adapter so I could charge my phone & listen at the same time, and I’ve noticed no difference in quality. Great price for a really great product. Would order again, and would give as a gift! Thank you!

I usually fall asleep listening to audiobooks or a favorite movie, so I needed some comfortable earbuds. I tend to toss and turn and am a side/back sleeper. These earbuds are soft and squishy and don't wake me up (from ear pain) like others I've tried. They are a little loose, so during the night I might lose one, but I never know until morning, so there is no real problem with that. The sound isn't as great as a super-expensive set of headphones, but I didn't expect them to be, nor did I buy them for that reason. They also don't block so much outside noise, so I'm still able to hear if someone calls my name. They seem to be good quality, have survived some unexpected tugs and pulls, and ... did I mention that they are comfortable and squishy for a side sleeper? I'd buy these again.
