Not Recommended: Caps for 22LR/9MM/.380ACP/.45ACP/ .40 S&W/38SPL
I picked up this multi-caliber set of snap caps for my .22LR, 9MM, .380ACP, .45ACP, .40 S&W, and .38SPL to get some dry-fire practice in. While they aren't a total wash, they definitely have some "budget" flaws. The Good They Work: Mechanically, they do exactly what they are supposed to do. They chamber correctly and provide the necessary protection for the firing pin during dry-fire drills. Versatility: It’s convenient to have one set that covers such a wide range of calibers in one go. The Bad (Quality Issues) The biggest headache is the build quality. Specifically, the blue caps are not well adhered at all. They tend to come off frequently during cycling or even just handling. Having to hunt for a tiny blue cap that popped off inside your firearm is definitely not part of the training I signed up for. Bottom Line: The quality is honestly lacking. While they technically function and help with training, I think it’s a case of "buy once, cry once." You’d probably be better off spending a little more on a higher-end brand where the components actually stay together.

Firing Pin Protector
Tipfun Snap Caps for 22LR I purchased these dummy rounds, to protect my Ruger Mark IV from dry firing, when cleaning. They perform this task without issue. The surface that's struck by the firing pin is replaceable and well made. They cycle great in my Ruger without issue.
